I admit that trick or treating isn't for everyone. But a 20 year old Florida woman might have taken things a bit too far.
Lee County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a woman who allegedly swung a crowbar at a group of trick-or-treaters in a North Fort Myers neighborhood Friday night, striking a parent in the process.
Doniell Daugherty, 20, of Poe Avenue in North Fort Myers was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Witnesses told them a Hyundai had driven through a crowd of parents and children, coming close to hitting one of the children.
When one of the parents yelled at Daugherty to slow down, she got out of the vehicle with a three-foot long crowbar and began swinging at the group, striking a parent, who had told her to stop, on the forehead, deputies said.
The parent was cut and suffered a concussion. She was treated at a hospital and released.
When I first read the headline I kind of expected it to be someone a little older. To be that angry at age 20 seems pretty extreme.
