I hate The View but Shepherd's viewpoint was touching and one, as a parent, I can appreciate.

Hasselbeck's sarcasm at the McRage rally a week or two ago was an insult to my intelligence (what little of it I have). I'm glad she's supportive now, but the way she assailed Obama is a little hard to forget now that she's an Obamamama.

OK, I actually voted for Obama, so I understand being happy, but COME ON!!  If you're going to try to make a point, Sherri, it should actually make sense and be truthful, neither of which are criteria you breakdown meets.  First of all, you're 41 years old;  they don't let "people like you" be entertainers?!  REALLY???  Wow...  all of the actors and singers that I remember from my childhood who I always thought were black-  were they Asians in disguise?!  And by the way, Sherri, there were no deaths in Selma during the civil rights marches.  There WERE some awful acts committed, and they are a shameful chapter in American history, but sorry...  no deaths.  Unless that fact has been swept under the rug in a huge conspiracy perpetrated by whitey...  I don't know why people can't just say "Congratulations, Mr. Obama, nicely done." without bringing race into it.  The fact of the matter is, while my skin may be brown, I don't consider myself better or worse than anybody else-  I'm an American, and proud of it, and I'm glad that the American that I voted for won the election, no matter what color his skin is!

My new term for conservative Republicans that were fervently against Obama during the election process but are now supporting him as the President-elect is..... (drum roll please)..... "Hasslebacktrackers!!!!!!!!"
