Sarah Palin's Teen Daughter is Pregnant! We've Got Pics!

Posted by Madeline Holler

The Republican family will grow by at least one more. Sarah Palin announced today that her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is five months pregnant (that's Bristol holding baby Trig in the pic).

The NY Times says Palin, John McCain's VP pick, made the announcement to quell rumors that five-month-old Trig is actually Bristol's baby son and Sarah Palin's grandson. Some say that Sarah Palin faked a pregnancy to cover for her then 16-year-old daughter.

Have the Palin's totally blindsided McCain with all this baby stuff?

No, say McCain aides. He knew it the whole time.

Here's the Palin family statement regarding their teen daughter's pregnancy:

"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support," the Palins said.

The Palins asked the news media to respect the young couple's privacy.

"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi's privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates," the statement concluded.

Here are a couple of pics of pregnant Bristol posted on McCain's daughters campaign blog, McCainblogette. Bristol's often holding the baby, including in the family shots. Bump cover, perhaps?

Wow. Abstinence only education isn't as effective, eh? One part of me LOVES this scandal because it's juicy and entertaining, but another part makes me feel dirty because this poor girl is being placed out so publicly by her family.

I wonder how different it would be if it was MR. Palin nominated for VP?

You should read the comments on Fox News about this situation. They're SO supportive about the "decision" that was made to keep the baby and they're thankful that a "real" family could be in the Whitehouse.

Why are so many people willing to believe that Bristol Palin wants to get an abortion, but her parents won't let her?  Perhaps SHE wants to keep the baby?

A pregnant teen isn't the end of the world.  Best of luck to Bristol and the baby's father, they've got some tough times ahead of them.

So, they've released this info to "prove" that Trig isn't the daughter's?  Well they're saying she's five months along, and Trig is what? - four and a half months old?  They could have easily fibbed on how pregnant she is now, and then just say that she had the baby a month early.  It is very easy to get pregnant immediately after having a baby.

What are the chances that she happens to have a "miscarriage"? ya know, cuz she's not really pregnant. just covering up for the first lie.

We do we even care?  Because we have a woman who is running for VP, who will deny all women the right to choose, yet commends her daughter's "decision."  If it were up to Palin, there would be no decision, because there would be no choice to begin with.

We are talking about a woman who advocates abstinence-only sex education for the entire nation, but can't even get it to work in her own home.

We are talking about a woman, who, instead of offering a birth certificate or hospital records to prove that Trig is not her grandchild, throws her daughter into the spotlight, claiming that the daughter's current pregnancy proves that Trig could not be her baby.

This is a woman who clearly puts her political ambitions before her family.

I never did believe the cover up.  Even if baby Trig were Bristols, wouldn't *someone* have seen her at some point?  That would require a cover up of such epic proportions.  It seems sad to me that when people should be apologizing to the Palin's for accusing them of faking Sarah's pregnancy to cover up her daughters, the conspiracy theories continue and get more and more unbelievable.

I am curious.  How does the father of the baby plan to support his wife and child?  Does he have a good job?  A home for them?  Can he afford health care?  Or will they, like most rich kids in trouble, just shack up like spoiled children with their parents?  Trig is hers.  He was born teh 1st week of April.  She coudl have gotten pregnatn on her next cycle and that would make her 4 months along.  The proof will be when this child comes if he is small for his age means induced to fit due date public is told or she will go "late" on that date.  I bet his due date is eraly March but he will come early and be really small so the due dates fit.  She cant get caught in this big of a lie.  My best friend has a child born the 2nd week of January and a son born the 1st week of December in the SAME year!  The easiest time to get pregnant is right after having a baby.  Looks like someone thought they coudl not get pregnant whiel still lactating or so soon after delivery.  Oops, did it again!

I just think it's wierd that Palin never even looked pregnant. I think it was the first picture of Bristol, she was already pretty big. And she was only five months, but in the other articles where it showed Palin after she announced she was 7 months pregnant, and you couldnt see a difference. I just want to know who Trig belongs to, and I agree with Ted. How is she going to be as a VP if she can't keep track of a 17 year old?

oh and I just have to add that I love the name Trig, so cute.

bristol is a uninformed teenager, and thus her mother failed to do such!

the gop would have made this an issue for at least one week of press releases, trying to hide their inapropriate governance towards so much matters, including the economy.

a mother that keeps on making babies, without taking proper care of the older siblings,is not a good mother.

go back to your kitchen mrs palin.

It is very interesting that in almost every picture taken of the Palins that Bristol is ALWAYS holding the baby. Even in the professional picture taken for the public. Wouldn't Sarah Palin WANT to be photographed with her (supposed) new baby. This is going to bad for McCain when it is revealed that this is actually Bristol's 2nd child!
