Freckles: Love 'Em Or Hate 'Em???

Posted by Amy S.F. Lutz

When I was a kid, I always wanted freckles, so I could look more like Laura Ingalls in "Little House On The Prairie."  I didn't realize then what lengths people went to to avoid freckling - sunhats, sunscreen, lemon juice, etc.

Although I never did get my freckles, now I have a red-haired daughter who is prone to them.  Luckily for her, according to Vogue, freckles are now sexy.  According to September's editon, "Freckles should be fetishised, embraced, touched, kissed."

Agree?  Or do you think freckles are as sexy as Howdy Doody?

I think freckles are wonderful, and so are faces with out.  As someone who is uncomfortable with the objectification of women's bodies, I don't really believe anything should be "fetished"!
