Best Books for Smart Readers

All your children's books worn and tattered? Are you tired of reading the same tired yarn about the same stupid hippo having the same stupid party with all his same stupid hippo friends? (I'm looking at you, Sandra.)

The New York Times published its annual list of the best children's books, and there are some instant classics. From the search for the real John Henry to the best of pigeon literature (with a review by Lemony Snicket, too), you can find everything for younger or older kids. I'll read my kid anything that starts with, "In the beginning, there was Jack Johnson." Children's books on the best of the sweet science are hard to come by.

I always love reading a few good tips that don't involve, A. Sandra Boynton, and B. Sandra Boynton.

My favorites are the original Pooh and Christopher Robin books which are quite smart. Not the Disney dreck.

I love it too. She also wrote a wonderful classic not in publication anymore called "Chloe and Maude", it's wonderful.

We love the Olivia books here!

Hippo friends are stupid - but they're the good kind of stupid!
