Crafty: Five Uses for Duct Tape

Posted by Adrienne Martini

I'm not sure I can wholeheartedly recommend this craft if you rent and plan to move, like, ever. Still, it's kind of cool and not the sort of thing you see every day.

Rather than repaint a bathroom floor, just cover it with duct tape. It comes in heaps of colors and is waterproof. With the leftovers, you can make hats or totes or roses, which would be perfect for Mother's Day.

Or, if nothing else, would give you a lot to talk about on Mother's Day.

I would suggest that you not use the stuff to contain your kids, no matter how tempting that may be.

That's kind of cool. I am tempted to do it because duct tape is way cheaper than flooring.

Duct tape was the only thing holding my sister's car's steering column together when we were teens. No lie.

I'd hate to be the poor sod who has to clean that mess up when they decide to lay down a real floor.

All I can think of is all the crap that's going to get stuck to the floor and not come up.... ick!  I don't think that duct tape is an ideal surface for cleaning... especially in a bathroom!
