Minivan Makeover: The Pirate Schooner

pirate parentingWe've talked before about how the country is going pirate-crazy, especially the kiddies, but now there is website devoted to all your parent pirating needs. Oh, yes. Yes, there is. It's called PirateParenting.com.

If your dream is to live the "Pirates of the Caribbean life" along with your family, now you can. First project? Convert your minivan into a pirate schooner. Why? Because not all pirates live near the ocean. Duh!

You'll need to gather up a few things before starting this project: a flag pole to use as a mast, an old barrel to use as a crow's nest, a swivel cannon that can handle a six-pound powder charge, oh, and a first aid kit.

Once your minivan is converted, it will need a proper pirate name.  Consult the website's minivan pirate schooner name generator, and your Honda Odyssey becomes The Blind Clownfish. The best part about this whole deal is that if your little mateys aren't pulling their weight, you can make them walk the plank.  Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
