Just So You Know, No NBA Player Has Played While Pregnant.

Posted by Melissa Summers

On February 26th, Fantasia Goodwin played college basketball with her Syracuse University team and last week she had a baby. Assuming she gave birth on her due date, this means she played her last game at 7 months pregnant. At 7 months pregnant I think I'd given up on tying my shoes and had definitely given up on getting out bed with my dignity intact.

Fantasia kept her pregnancy a secret according to school officials and played in 30 straight games between November and February. The NCAA recommends removing pregnant players from full contact sports at 3.5 months pregnant, perfect right after the morning sickness passes!

In other, "Wow, you're a pregnancy wimp" news, Canadian figure skater Jamie Sale is expecting a baby in October. She's 15 weeks along and says she'll skate in two more shows before taking a break. I'm glad I'm done being pregnant because if my husband read this, he'd be a little suspicious of my claims that once I pee on the stick I can't operate a vaccuum.
