Mia Hamm, Nomar Garciaparra Welcome Twins

mia hammSports superstars Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra welcomed healthy twin girls in Los Angeles today. Mia Hamm played on the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team for 18 years bringing home two World Cups and two Olympic Medals.

Nomar Garciaparra is the Dodger's first baseman.  He previously played for the Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Seox. Thanks to Saturday Night Live, I will forever hear his name in my head as "Nomaaaahhhhh!"

Congrats, athletes!  Hooray girlies!

Wow, back in the day when I was in high school, Mia was my IDOL! I played soccer almost my entire life, and the US women's team was like a dream come true!

It's really awesome to know that my old favorite player just went through the same thing I'm going through right now!
