Remember recently when the Wrath of Pork descended upon blogger The Lactivist? Lactivist writer Jennifer Laycock, in a satirical commandeering of the Pork Board's slogan "the other white meat", made shirts that declared breast milk to be "the other white milk." When the Pork Board sent a harsh lawyer-gram threatening all sorts of legal sadism, Laycock howled - and parenting bloggers the world over grabbed their torches and pitchforks.

Apparently, Pork knows when it's licked (or is that suckled?). Pork National Board CEO Steve Murphy has sent Laycock a personal letter of apology, As part of its mea culpa, the Board will launch a voluntary fundraising drive among its employees, with proceeds going to the Mother’s Milk Bank of Ohio. (Federal earmarking regulations prevent the board from making a direct donation; it's forced to spend most of its money on National Enquirer-style Web sites devoted to pork porn.)

Laycock is thrilled, and wants bloggers to spread the word as a demonstration that we can propagate good news as quickly as we can bad. Mission accomplished, ma'am.
