The part about moving every year and not being able to accumulate stuff - YES. Until we moved into our current apartment (it's been just over two years!! omg), my boyfriend and I had moved every 9 months- 1 yr (we met at the very beginning of college, so, dorms/ summer housing/ temporary apts/ etc). And it was so weird to realize about 3-4 months ago that, wow, we've been in the same apartment for two years, and wow do we have a lot of stuff all of a sudden.

I bet Fable and Archer's room will be super cute :)

I don't know if you're definitely planning on donating to a shelter, but you could also try to sell some of that stuff.

Here in Memphis they have "Once Upon a Child" - kind of like a Buffalo Exchange/Plato's Closet but for kids stuff. Cash could go to decorating the room (or some more fabulous clothes for Fable).

I'm such a kid, I want to play with that Little People's farm thingy you have there, it looks like a much better version than the one we got my son this year for his birthday.

I'm so excited for you to be moving rooms and getting Fable all set up, I love spring cleaning like this. How the hell do you find time? I just have time to daydream about it.

LOL @ Roomie Stories :)

I remember being so astounded at exactly HOW MUCH expensive shampoo I was running through...I mean, I knew I washed my hair daily, but it didn't seem like I was using that much, ya know?

Turns out my male roomie was happily using my oh-so-pricey, oh-so-sweet-smelling shampoo for shower activities which had much more to do with his not having a girlfriend than with him washing his hair...(wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Or the time I realized that half of my lingerie-drawer had gone mysteriously missing? Turns out my female roomie had a weekend getaway with her man of the week, and just didn't like anything she had to wear in terms of underthings. Thinking I was also going to be gone that weekend, she figured she could return early, launder the items, and return them without my knowing. Can I get a loud "EEEEW!?!?!"

I lived in my house for 5 years before my husband & I divorced & I moved out. I threw out so much stuff!!! I still am going through boxes & donating. I hate moving but enjoying getting rid of all the crap!

I love roommate/bad housing stories!

How about the time I went to get in my car and there was a homeless man sleeping next to my driver side door? But not just sleeping, sleeping in his FORT he built using one side of my truck as a wall. There is no weirder way to start a morning then pulling back a garbage bag-flap-door and asking a sleeping bum to please tear down his tent so I can drive to work.

Oh memories...
