I just took my 15 month-old to the zoo for the first time this week. I agree, it's a great "neighborhood" zoo. My son pet a goat and laughed at the flamingos. What more do you need on a Monday morning for 12$?

I'm so glad that during our recent trip to LA we managed to go to four of those places! After seeing your list I only have one regret though: we wanted to go to Noah's Ark, but we ended up not going exactly because you had to reserve the tickets in advance, etc. Sounds like we really should have made the effort. What a great list! My brother lives super close to Griffith Park and so it feels like a neighborhood park for him. And who could ever hate on L.A.?? No way.
