I don't think books like that are written for the children. In my mind they're written for the parents who will read them to the children. It comes across as too much like the political process itself.

"To those of you who believe what I believe, get out the vote, or this is what those other guys will do to your children."

On the other hand, it also has the smell of a Karl Rove sponsored tale.

While I'm sure your intentions are good, your critique's tone is so smug, its criticisms so over-the-top, and its judgments so absolute, it reads more like a spoof on conservative bloggers.
