Political Nanny

Hollywood Happy Ending

Sure, the candidates come and go (most of them having already gone). But as a nanny, you still care. Which is why Political Nanny is happy to report that one of her charges has found work in the day job that he ill-advisedly quit to run for president.

Fred Thompson is back in Hollywood.

Sure, even if the 65-year-old were to reprise a role as enjoyable as that of the forceful, determined, hardworking Arthur Branch on "Law & Order," any viewing of the masterful thespian will be tainted by still-fresh memories of his lackluster performance as a presidential hopeful.

But he's back where he belongs: surrounded by liberals, agents, scripts, outlandish riders and long periods of time off. Break a leg, Freddy, break a leg!

Be nice to Gramps! The lighting is right, and he'll be able to sleep thru any 3AM telemarketing calls from Ken Mehlman.
