Yeah, I love the song Still Dirrty where she talks about how she's changed but it's not because marriage "tamed" her like the gross magazines and E reported. She does her own thing. She's not outside the patriarchy (how could she be), but she is who she is and she doesn't apologize.

I don't think it's fair to say that she's necessarily conforming to a sterotypical male fantasy of what's sexy. What if SHE finds it sexy? Isn't that her prerogative? The fact that she has grown up, yet still embraces that part of herself makes me respect the hell out of her.

Of course, when "embracing your sexuality" equals "conforming to stereotypical male fantasy about womens' sexuality" then it seems to me the kind of "respecting" little Max will be learning will go a short way toward the kind of respect women actually deserve. Sorry, but I'm NOT with her on this one.
