Britney's First Live Performance

Where will you be on December 2nd? Will you be waiting to watch Good Morning America to see Britney perform? It will be her big debut, her first live performance since the VMA's last year. I think she's recovered enough of her sanity to be able to be a success. She will perform Womanizer, I hope she will give us a little peak at another song, since the albums drops that day as well.
The performance should be worth watching since the song has become such a huge hit. Last week the song jumped from # 96 to # 1, which was the first time a leap this large was made by a song, ever.
If you have to work, be sure to set your TIVO.

Spears and Federline Heading To Custody Trial

The custody hearing that transpired on Thursday June 26 did not settle anything in terms of young Sean Preston and Jayden James custody arrangement, so Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are heading to trial.

"The mediation didn't result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August," said loudmouth lawyer Mark Kaplan, in a post-hearing statement.

It wasn't a breakdown in communication for the parents, however, Kaplan insists, "The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary.
"If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties... we wouldn't have to go to trial. But that didn't happen."

Federline's motive seems to be the best interests of the boys: "He wants to have an order," Kaplan said, "that takes into account a certain stability and structure for the kids...regardless of whose house they happen to be at at any given moment."

The trial is set to begin August 25, and should result in a final custody ruling. Federline is seeking full custody of the boys, after being handed custody during a tramatic hostage situation whereby Spears held her youngest, Jayden James in a bathroom and refused to return the boys to their father after a visitation.

It seems the pair are very civilized about the situation, really. That's a great start. I hope it works out and doesn't end up like Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards.

Wesley Snipes Acquitted of Tax Fraud

Wesley Snipes was acquitted of tax fraud but was convicted of failure to file taxes on Friday. His earnings during the time he failed to file amounted to millions of dollars. Snipes could face up to three years in prison for the offenses.

The 45 year old actor is now free on bond. "I'm feeling great – a little confused, but great," he told People Magazine. Asked if he is worried about going to prison, he said, "I don't know. It's nice to be out here with you right now. We live in the moment."

"Disagreement with the IRS is not fraud of the IRS, is not deception," argued defense attorney Robert Barnes.

Snipes also commented, "Of course you would be nervous,. You're on trial. Anybody would have a certain amount of anxiety about that. But I have a great deal of faith in the Most High and the Good Lord and the truth shall set you free. So, I'm looking forward to being free, going back to what I do best."

Snipes is father to 5 children, ranging in age from 10 months to 20 years old.
