Jade Goody Shocked and Hurt by Death Predicting Website

Jade Goody's lawyers are now trying to shut down a really sick website, which is taking bets on when Jade will die. Jade, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in September and recently underwent a full hysterectomy in an effort to halt the cancer's spread.

Now there's a web site - whenwilljadegoodydie.com - that is not only creating a pool of bets on when Goody will die, but really slamming her. Here is some of the shit they're saying:

"Jade Goody started out as a loud mouth nobody and after her appearances on Big Brother UK and their Big Brother Celebrity Special she is still a loud mouth nobody. And that is exactly the reason for this site. Jade Goody has done nothing and we mean nothing to enhance life on this planet. She fills the tabloid pages with crap about herself.

"She’s an egotistical twat who can’t have a normal relationship as it would mean she’d have to share herself with somebody else than herself. And yet the tabloids still give her their newspaper inches while they should be giving her 10 inches of red hot steel up her ass. She bullied and made racist remarks to a fellow Big Brother Celebrity contestant and was puked upon by the UK and India.

"To give her shit covered star a new shine she recently went over to India to participate in their version of Big Brother (presented by the person she bullied and discriminated against). While in the house Jade Goody got the news she was diagnosed with cancer. Aweful news really. For anyone. Even Jade Goody. But Jade Goody’s bad news turned into a tabloid marathon of Jade bullshit.

"Jade Goody made it seem as she is and will ever be the only person to get the Big C. Wake up and smell the shit stained blankets Jade. You’re not special. You’re not the Chosen One. Cancer hits millions of people everywhere and those millions of people deal with it in dignity and not by talking crap and getting their sobbing faces into the newspaper day after day. If you wanted our sympathy you could have promoted cancer charities instead of yourself while enduring your disease. We wish death on no one, but we wish you, Jade Goody, a good old fashioned Donkey Punch."

Classy, very classy. What a bunch of assholes. Also on the front page is a form where you can enter your email address and the date and time of Jade's predicted death. Whoever gets closest to Jade's actual date and time of death wins an iPhone. Nice.

Jade's spokesman says, "Naturally, she was shocked and hurt when she found out about this website. But she has also been overwhelmed by the amount of letters, cards, and messages of good will she has received from the public."

Listen, cancer is not a fucking joke. No matter what you think of Jade - and yeah, she's screwed up big time in the past - you don't wish death on anyone. And if there's ever a time to be self-centered, it's when you get a cancer diagnosis, particularly when you have kids depending upon you.

I'm not sure if lawyers can get that site shut down. For one thing, it's in Holland. For another, shitty as it is, I can't imagine the jerks running the site are breaking any laws. But if they have an ounce of decency in them, they'll voluntarily pull the damn thing.

Jady Goody took her boys, Bobby and Freddie, to school yesterday. Goody, 27 and a reality TV star, is fighting cervical cancer. I'm sure the boys are happy to see their mum home. I know it's a scary thing for your parents to be sick.

Jade is due back to the hospital this week, actually, for another operation. After her hysterectomy a couple of weeks ago, she'll be going in to have a catheter inserted into her chest to get her ready for chemotherapy. But at least she's home again.

We're all wishing her the best and a speedy recovery.

Reality TV star Jade Goody checked out of the Royal Marsden Hospital after a radical hysterectomy. She's been in the hospital for two weeks and the surgery was to help treat her cervical cancer. Goody was on the U.K. version of "Big Brother" and also starred in the Indian version, where she was told she had cervical cancer after a few days in the Big Brother house. Looks like Goody, mother of two, is finally headed home.

She was in the Miss Alaska Pageant, and this is that pageant. Swimsuit edition.

Mind you, this is not a post of judgment. I'm not a hater of the beauty pageant. I can't say I've ever watched one, other than being forced by my wife to sit through Miss Congeniality, and wait, maybe I do hate pageants. That movie sucked. I digress. I don't believe that being a beauty queen in a life before kids and politics has anything to do with who she is now- although Todd Palin may disagree.

Matt Damon got it started. He said something along the lines of Sarah Palin running for vice-president was like a bad Disney movie which made me love him a little bit less because everyone knows there is no such thing as a bad Disney movie (possible exceptions include anything with The Rock or direct-to-video).

The good people at CollegeHumor thought that Damon was on to something. One thing led to another and now Head of Skate is just an Iger nod from a November release.

Jade Goody's Cancer Has Spread

Big Brother star Jade Goody is in the fight of her life - for her life. The 27-year-old, mother of two, recently underwent an eight-hour hysterectomy to remove her cervical cancer. However, the operation didn't yield good news - her cancer has spread and her recovery odds have dropped significantly.

Jade said before her operation, "I will fight the damn thing every step of the way. At the end of the day I am going to bloody beat this thing because I've got two amazing kids to live for. And there's no way I'm gonna let them down."

Doctors discovered that the cancer has spread and is now "Stage Three" - they found cancer cells in a muscle behind her womb. Initially, her odds of recovery were put at 95 per cent, but now, unfortunately, those odds are now just above 50 per cent.

Goody will now be put through an intense, nine-week course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy to hopefully eliminate all cancer cells. Jade is recovering at London's Royal Marsden Hospital's intensive care unit.

We wish her all the best and a full recovery. Those boys need their mom!

Big Brother U.K. star Jade Goody was going in for a hysterectomy yesterday to help prevent the spread of her cancer. She found out about the cervical cancer after only a few days being in the Indian version of Big Brother recently.

Jade checked into a cancer center the other day with her mother, and a close friend revealed that Jade was really worried. Understandably so. "Jade is terrified - she's not in a good state at all. She's been putting on a brave face for her sons."

UPDATE: Jade underwent an eight-hour hysterectomy, and now faces 9 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Her spokesman, Max Clifford, confirmed late Friday night: "The operation went well."

Tests this week fortunately showed that Jade's cancer had NOT spread. Fantastic news. She's now in intensive care at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital.

Here's to a speedy recovery, Jade. All the best.

Speaking of Big Brother, do any of you watch the American version? Have you been watching this season? Phenomenally good year. I so hope that Dan wins the whole shebang. Guess we'll know in a few days.

Obviously I'm not impressed with the GOP choice of Sarah Palin. That's the burden of common sense. However, even I'm getting tired of writing about her.

The thing is, ours is to cover celebrity and parents and poke the fun. Sarah Palin, with all apologies to the Jolie-Pitts, is the most famous parent in the world right now and therefore warrants our attention. The constant soap opera that surrounds her is just too much to ignore. Too much.

Now there is a server at a Juneau restaurant claiming Governor Palin used racist and sexist terminology, loudly and publicly, in regard to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, respectively. From the LA Progressive:

According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

What did she say, allegedly? “So Sambo beat the bitch!” Nice.

She may not win the vice presidency, but I wouldn't put Role Model of the Year out her reach just yet.

There is some speculation in the media, by which I mean the real media- that being people with neckties and make-up artists, not unshaven bloggers in their underwear (and some men, too) that John McCain's team dropped the ball regarding the vetting[1] process of Sarah Palin.

We're inclined to agree.

Jade Goody Could Have Detected Cancer Earlier

As we reported a few days ago, Jade Goody - mother of two - has cervical cancer. Jade found out about the cancer while on India's version of "Big Brother." She is now getting medical tests after a tumor was found on her womb. Today she should know if the cancer has spread to any of her other organs, and that will determine whether she needs a full hysterectomy.

Now she says that doctors might have caught the deadly cancer sooner. When she was hospitalized from sudden bleeding weeks before she went onto the reality show, an abnormal smear test came back.

"They'd sent a letter to me ages ago telling me I needed to go in, but I'd been too scared to come in and do anything about it."

We're all pulling for Jade and hope this comes as a lesson to us all. Abnormal results may come out to be nothing, but we need to get these things looked at when the doctor tells us to.

Jade Goody, 27-year-old star of Britain's version of Big Brother, found out she has life-threatening cancer while on television.

Goody, the mother of two sons (ages 3 and 5), was invited to be part of the Indian version of Big Brother after her racist exploits last year during the UK version spiked her to instant fame. She was in the Big Brother India house six days ago when producers called her into the Diary Room to break the news.

"One of the producers told me my doctor had been calling the show and I had to ring him urgently. I was totally confused and thought ironically it was either a stunt by the programme or a hoax call," Jade told The Sun.

It wasn't a hoax. The doctor told Goody, "You have cancer, Jade. It's real and it's serious." The cervical cancer is so serious (Stage 2, in fact) her doctors told her that she'd die if she remained in India for the three-month duration of Big Brother.

She flew home immediately and will undergo a hysterectomy next week. Radiation and chemotherapy will follow. That has got to be some of the most awful news you could ever break to children, especially when they're so little.

Here's to hoping that she comes out of this with flying colors. Or is it colours? Those Brits and Canadians with all their extra vowels. And I freely admit to being a huge Big Brother fan, though I've never seen the UK version. What? Don't be hatin'.

Obama New Yorker Cover: Satire or Offensive Piece of Racist Crap?

The latest issue of The New Yorker goes on sale today, with a cover that depicts Sen. Barack Obama in Muslim headdress and garb, fist-bumping his camo-clad, Afro-wearing wife as a portrait of Osama Bin Laden looks on. An American flag burns in the fireplace.

The New Yorker is defending it, saying it's satire.

Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton condemned the cover, saying, “The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama's right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree."

Tucker Bounds, spokesman for John McCain's campaign also made a statement. “We completely agree with the Obama campaign, it’s tasteless and offensive.”

The magazine issued a news release previewing the issue: “On the cover of the July 21, 2008, issue of The New Yorker, in ‘The Politics of Fear,’ artist Barry Blitt satirizes the use of scare tactics and misinformation in the Presidential election to derail Barack Obama’s campaign.”

Shame on you Barry Blitt, and shame on you New Yorker for trying to pass off this piece of racist crap for anything more than it is: a gutless, shameful way of getting attention. It's a pity a publication that's supposed to appeal to the intelligent, thoughtful reader would stoop to using incendiary, tired racial stereotypes to sell more magazines.

It all started last weekend when some paparazzi ('paproids', apparently) pursued dad-to-be Matthew while he was surfing. According to Rush & Malloy:

The actor was surfing at Paradise Cove when a group of paparazzi arrived on the beach and started snapping away. The surfers told the "paproids" to leave and got physical when they didn't, allegedly breaking one lensman's nose and throwing his camera into the sea. The attack was, of course, recorded.

It gets worse.

Video of incident was posted at paparazzi site X17, and a cyber-rumble has since broken out between paps and surfers, all of whom are egging each other in comments and promising to meet at the same spot to settle the score mano a mano (or would that be camera to surfboard? Am unclear on the details.)

More than 1,000 angry back-and-forth comments between the lensmen and the surfers have been logged, including one urging paparazzi to "rendezvous next Saturday in the same spot. 50 paps are going to meet u there. Good luck and enjoy the high waves." A surfer responds, "Bring it on, paps. It will be the end for you on the beach. Saturday is on."

The spat has also, apparently, turned somewhat racist, as the mostly white surfer crowd takes on the paparazzi community, which includes many members from immigrant communities (the racist commentary cuts both ways: "I'm a pap," one wrote. "I've made $94K a year and I'm only four months into it ... because stupid white trash people like your fat mother buy the magazines. We hunt the very people you worship for no reason.")

CRAZY. It's like some twisted variation on Point Break, except with the surfers busting cameras and protecting celebrities instead of robbing banks. (Matthew McConaughey, btw? Could totally play that Patrick Swayze role. Somebody needs to do a remake, stat.) My money's on the paparazzi, though. Those dudes have grappled with Britney, people. Surfers will be nothing.

Michelle Malkin Terrorizes Rachael Ray

I hate to give conservative gasbag idiot Michelle Malkin any more attention than she deserves, but this one takes the cake (or the glazed, whichever you prefer.) Malkin, who appears to have way too much time on her hands and spends her days watching online ads for donut shops, has cased Dunkin' Donuts to remove one of their ads featuring Rachael Ray because Malkin says it promotes terrorism.

In the ad, spokesperson Ray is wearing a scarf that Michelle Malkin says resembled a kiffiyeh, Middle Eastern garb that is "popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos."

In the same column, Malkin also takes on actor Colin Farrell, rapper Kanye West and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, saying they have been photographed in similar scarves that were "distinctive hate couture."

Let it be noted that Malkin is vehemently opposed to immigration, is for racial profiling and says the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II was a good thing.

Malkin might want to spend a little less time obsessing over accessories worn by rappers and spokespeople for fast food, and more time teaching her kids not to hate.

Hate couture, indeed. Michelle Malkin should know - she's swathed in it.
