Foodie Giada de Laurentiis Covers Redbook and Rachel Ray

What I really want to see is a Food Network Catfight between Giada De Laurentiis and Rachel Ray. Guess I'll have to wait for another day. Mommy Giada covers Redbook magazine and talked a little about her reported fighting with Rachel Ray.

"Do we hang out all the time? No," Giada says. "Are we best friends? No. But if you’re not best friends, people assume that you hate each other. We laugh about it. We do these festivals together, and she’ll say to me, ‘Oh, we’d better take a picture together and smile, because if we don’t, God only knows what’s going to get written about us.’ She’s a lovely person."

Giada also talks a bit about her daughter Jade, now 1. She's not a fussy eater, Giada says. "She loves grilled lamb chops and eats quinoa." Quinoa? What the hell is quinoa? Getting children to eat healthy food is important, she says. "You have to make food fun."

As for being "too sexy" for a cooking show, Giada says, "I think it’s okay to cook and be sexy. Why not? I do get a lot of emails from women, saying to me, ‘You don’t have to show cleavage to get the male audience.’ I don’t need to. That’s just how my body type is, and I’m very comfortable with what I have."

You naysaying women can shut your mouths. I'm very comfortable with what Giada has, too.

Jenny McCarthy To Get Her Own Talk Show?

According to the rumor mill, 1993 Playmate of the Year turned anti-vaccination activist Jenny McCarthy may get her own daytime talk show, produced by none other than the Oprah herself.

McCarthy -- who recently punk'd all of her friends and family into believing that she and Jim Carrey were engaged to be wed -- is set to join Dr. Phil and Rachel Ray as part of Oprah's media empire. Jenny's apparently inked a deal with Harpo to "develop projects on different platforms, including a syndicated talk show that the actress/author would host."

What will McCarthy talk about? It sounds like the show will be pretty much the same as any daytime talk show, except with a really smoking hot host.

Thankfully, that should mean that the topic changes from day to day. Maybe I'm a jerk for saying this, but as sad as her 7-year-old son Evan's illness is, I don't know if I can stand to listen to her talk about the link between autism and vaccines any longer.

Giada De Laurentiis Says Daughter Needs Teeth

The gorgeous Giada De Laurentiis has books and TV shows in the air at all times, so she's still learning how to juggle motherhood along with everything else. Famous for her shows on the Food Network, including "Everyday Italian," Giada is a new mom to Jade Marie, now 6 months.

"When you have children," Giada says, "everything changes. A lot of women know, you learn as you go through it." At the recent NYC Wine and Food Festival she said she's still working on the balance "between not giving up everything that I used to do, and not missing out on anything that my daughter does."

What's it like for a professional to prepare food for a toddler? Jade only just started eating solid foods last week, so fortunately she's not all that picky yet. Hell, anything tastes better than mashed lima beans! "It'll be a couple years before I understand what she likes and doesn't like," Giada says. "And she's got to get some teeth. She's missing teeth and hair."

So it's like a miniature Grandpa, then, including the diapers. Cool!

Leah Remini Talk Show - Will You Watch?

Everyone and their dog wants a talk show and just about everyone and their dog who has had a talk show, knows it usually goes down the tubes and fast! However, that's not going to stop actress and mom of one, Leah Remini. I admit, I loved her on one of my fav shows, King of Queens, but can she translate that same success into a talk show? Would you watch?

Reportedly the 38-year-old Remini is in the works to do a one-hour show for CBS. Hey, good luck, because I think you're going to need it! Once described by her King of Queens co-star, Kevin James as having "the mouth of a construction worker in the body of a model", she may do very well with a talk show. ~~I doubt it~~. Maybe she can pray to Xenu.

Leah is married to Angelo Pagan and they have a daughter, Sofia Bella, 4.

Rachel Ray Pregnant?

Rachel Ray was in L.A. attending the Daytime Emmy Awards, of which she took Best Talk Show, beating out Ellen!

When cameras caught up with the cooking diva, she was shopping on Robertson Blvd with her hot hubby John Cusimano, lead singer in the band The Cringe.

Rachel's weight has always fluctuated from those early days of $40 A Day to now, but lately people are a buzz as to whether this weight gain is of the baby variety.

Michelle Malkin Terrorizes Rachael Ray

I hate to give conservative gasbag idiot Michelle Malkin any more attention than she deserves, but this one takes the cake (or the glazed, whichever you prefer.) Malkin, who appears to have way too much time on her hands and spends her days watching online ads for donut shops, has cased Dunkin' Donuts to remove one of their ads featuring Rachael Ray because Malkin says it promotes terrorism.

In the ad, spokesperson Ray is wearing a scarf that Michelle Malkin says resembled a kiffiyeh, Middle Eastern garb that is "popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos."

In the same column, Malkin also takes on actor Colin Farrell, rapper Kanye West and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, saying they have been photographed in similar scarves that were "distinctive hate couture."

Let it be noted that Malkin is vehemently opposed to immigration, is for racial profiling and says the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II was a good thing.

Malkin might want to spend a little less time obsessing over accessories worn by rappers and spokespeople for fast food, and more time teaching her kids not to hate.

Hate couture, indeed. Michelle Malkin should know - she's swathed in it.

Update: Leah Remini's Daughter Is Off The Bottle!

Leah Remini's admission that her nearly 4-year-old daughter was still on the bottle and having 6 or more at night, sparked quite a bit of debate. Leah is happy to announce that her daughter has been weaned and she's got more good news!

Thank you all for your messages of encouragement, love and most of all~your help!!! this is the reason i wanted to this, because now I have connection to other moms/dads who go through in some way what I am going through. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I wanted to tell you guys though, that Sofia is OFF the bottle. and I NOW see why this was so important to do!!! She eats.. FOOD! REAL FOOD YOU GUYS!!!! she says ‘I want to eat Mommy”…. I never could have imagined this life. we have donated the “Babbas” and she is doing so well. she is sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! you see we did this show last month. And because we were going to NYC, my mom decided she was going to try it! and it worked! Just last night, Sofia said “Mommy, please get the bottles back from the babies you gave them to” and I told her that, that wouldnt be right to do to those little babies. she agreed. it was tough when we got back home from NYC, but when i saw Sofia didnt die…:) it made it so much easier. I was wrong… you all were right… it has changed her life for the better….

Thanks again so much for the love…so needed and so appreciated.

Hey, none of us are perfect parents - and I bet it took a lot for Leah to openly admit that her child was still drinking from a bottle and having so many at bedtime. And sometimes we get into ruts and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now, her little girl can enjoy real food!

What bossy behavior does Sofia show?
LR It starts with her waking up. She doesn't want the curtains opened right away; the light bothers her. She likes to dance to classical music. She wants a Popsicle for breakfast? She gets a Popsicle for breakfast. The kid has learned to reason. It's very hard to argue with the cuteness of a 3-year-old saying, "But it's strawberries. It's good for your body." It's tough.

And if you say no?
LR It's a lot of crying. She just recently started a new thing where she says we ruined her whole life. All three years of it! But if we give her the Popsicle, she'll say, "I love my mommy and daddy so much." She'll pull you in for a hug or a kiss. When she dances or puts on little shows, I feel like that is her way of giving back.

And she has slept with you since infancy?
LR The way it started was we were rocking her to sleep and had to put her in her crib at exactly the right time or she would wake up. She would see us leave and then get up and cry. One night we were rocking her, and we lay down out of sheer exhaustion. She rolled off to the middle and never left.

Is she in her own bed now?
LR It isn't an option. She thinks our bed is her bed.

Tell Us about the bottles. She demands them?
AP Sofia got one over on us.
LR She figured out a way to keep the bottle. She said, "Don't give me milk. Give me Lactaid." And how cute is that? We said, "That is still milk," so she said, "Give me water."

Does your pal J.Lo let her get away with this?
LR She is a natural mother. Sofia doesn't pull that crap with Jennifer! Jen says, "No, you're going to eat a little something." As soon as I walk in the room, Sofia says she wants a bottle.

And at night, she wants many bottles, correct?
AP On a rough night, it will take three bottles just to get her out.
LR It will consist of one milk bottle, followed by three water bottles. Then refilling those. Then changing her diaper at 12 when she asks for a bottle.

Leah Remini Gives Her Four Year Old Daughter 6 Bottles A Night!

Actress Leah Remini was a tough talkin' cookie as her character "Carrie" on The King of Queens, however she's a bit of a push-over when it comes to her 4-year-old daughter Sofia. She lets her daughter have 6 or more bottles at bedtime. That's a lot! Deep breath - let's not be judgy.

Leah admits, "I'm very consistent; I give in. My daughter runs the house."

Remini, 37, isn't quite sure how to take a stand - if she doesn't give in, her preschooler goes into hysterics. Leah says, "The problem I'm having with bottle-feeding is basically that Sofia drinks six or more bottles a night." Both she and her husband are left exhausted and drained from making up new bottles and changing diapers constantly.

The former TV star realizes that there are also health issues involved by giving her daughter that many bottles at bedtime. "We're hearing that it's not good for her. In talking to our pediatrician, they almost fell off their chair when we said she's still on the bottle.

"So I'm thinking maybe it's not right." Oh, the ruts we get into.

Leah and her husband have let Rachael Ray's cameras film inside their home and a 24/7 look at their lives. It's a reality check - Leah feels guilty when her daughter is in tears and her husband wanting to do the right thing as they try to wean Sofia off the bottle.

Yikes! Good luck Leah, you're going to need it! I feel for her, it's going to be a tough few nights after her daughter gets off the bottle.
