Katie Holmes gave her first performance on Broadway on Thursday night in Arthur Miller's "All My Sons". Was she nervous, how did she do? Did her voice carry beyond the footlights?

The show on Thursday was a preview performance of the play and Katie's performance was well accepted by critics and theatre goers.

One critic from the Associated Press even said that, "If Holmes felt nervous and jittery, she didn't show it. She delivered her lines with confidence and projected her girlish voice so it could be heard loud and clear. She danced around on stage with gusto. She looked lovely in two dresses that highlighted her trim yet shapely figure."

A friend of Katie's said that she brought, "this fresh breeze of air not only in her acting but also in her dialogue that kind of breaks up the seriousness of what's going on. I'm actually surprised that she's, you know, enough of an actress for being on Broadway."

I think a lot of people felt that she isn't enough of an actress for Broadway, but we must remember that she has John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson as co-stars. I'm sure they all want to succeed so they had a ton of rehearsals and tips to give her so she would be ready.

Katie, Tom and Suri left New York Sunday afternoon together.

The happy family took off for places unknown, no mystery man and no little black rain cloud followed them out of town.

Perhaps we all jumped the gun on the cheating stories, and the mystery man is just a friend who needs no introduction to the masses.

By the way, how stinking cute is Suri in this picture?

Angelina Jolie Is Ready To Birth Them Babies

The countdown has begun. Angelina Jolie finally confirmed she's carrying twins, and now she's getting her birthing team in order. Yes, I said team. While most of us embark on our big day by calling our mothers and having our husbands drive us to the hospital at breakneck speeds, Jolie has assembled a large posse that could easily go straight from pulling those babies out to invading a small country.

Jolie, who is staying at the plush Villa Maryland on the French Riviera, reportedly has her personal doctor from California by her side along with two nannies, a midwife and a helicopter pilot ready to fly the actress to Princess Grace Hospital at the first sign of contractions. There are also two other nearby facilities on call.

And I thought I was fancy when I talked one of the maternity ward nurses into giving me an extra Jell-O cup.
