Jade Goody and Jack Tweed Will Have A Wedding Night

It looks like Jade is going to have her dream wedding night after all.

We know Jade Goody and Jack Tweed are getting married on Sunday. We also thought that Jack was going to have to return to his mother's home after the ceremony. That's all changed now!

The Justice Secretary, Jack Straw, intervened on his behalf. He said, "It is crucial that offenders are treated equally within the rules regardless of the publicity surrounding their case but I was satisfied that it was reasonable to allow this."

His spokesman also added: "Jack has enormous sympathy for Jade Goody and her family at this time. She is showing extraordinary courage and his thoughts are with her and her family."

Jade was also hoping that Girls Aloud could play at her wedding. Sarah Harding, a member of the band, said, "We have had contact from Jade's people about performing at her wedding. It's now in the hands of our management. We are desperately trying to re-arrange our schedule so we can do it. It's a very sad thing to have to discuss." We hope that it all works out.

So many of you have left such wonderful comments that it warms my heart. One of the comments left mentioned Jade's appearance on Celebrity, where she was interviewed and also sang "Rose Garden". I had to watch it, I was drawn to it and to be honest I cried. She was so full of life and smiles and sang one of my favorite sons so well, I had to include the video here. The timing is a little off on the sound, but if your a Jade fan, it's still worth watching.

I can't wait to see pictures of the wedding on Sunday.

There is something about this story that speaks to me. So many people are responding with such support and love to someone in need almost restores my fatih in humanity. I think we can all imagine that it could be us and it's our own sense of mortality that kicks in and takes over.

Jade Goody Goes Home To Spend Her Last Days With Family

Jade Goody is heading home from the hospital and this is not a good thing. The doctors have decided that her cancer has spread too far too fast and there is nothing left they can do to combat the disease. They can try to make her as comfortable as possible and let her spend her remaining days with those she loves.

Jade is heading home to spend her last days with her boys Bobby, five and Freddie, four. The next few weeks will be painful for all concerned, but they will be the days that she can tell her boys the things she wants them to know. Since they are so young, she may film the last weeks, so as to impart her last stories and advice for her boys growing up.

She is also going to clear up a couple of matters concerning their future. She is marrying her boyfriend Jack and having the boys Christened.

I don't even know what I would do. She is very fortunate to have so much love and support right now and people that she know will take care of her boys. This makes me so sad, I can't imagine what must be going through her head.

I am devastated for her.

Keep sending your letters and emails of support for her, the fan mail she is receiving is keeping her spirits lifted somewhat. Just knowing that you all love her and will miss her moves her to tears, which we all know are cathartic in their own right.

Disney's Selena Gomez Has Big Shoes to Fill

Selena Gomez has been all but crowned the next 'it' teen for Disney. This is a long and impressive list, and it is also a very checkered one.

Remember when it was generally accepted that Christina Aguilera was the bad one and that Britney Spears was golden? Time is funny, isn't it? The thing is, the press loves to make a big deal about the troubles of the Disney teen idol (the girls that is, you don't hear anything about Justin Timberlake or Zac Efron- apparently gender is funny, too), but for every Lindsay Lohan spreading stank in her wake there is a Hilary Duff working hard and doing it right. For every Vanessa Anne Hudgens there is an Anne Hathaway.

The most recent young lady to sit the throne, Miley Cyrus, is in a bit of PR spin, but let's be frank, she hasn't done anything wrong. She isn't doing drugs or endangering small children. Sure, there have been pictures released that may cast question on her judgment, but hey, she wasn't nude. She's just a teenager doing teenage stuff, but unlike most kids she's filthy rich and living under a microscope. It's hard to believe the commotion a few artsy photos caused when one channel over an equally young teenage star is about ready to have a baby. Isn't that a bit more scandalous?

So, the question is, will Miss Gomez be pregnant and in rehab before sweeps week or will she be able to stay the path despite the lures and pitfalls it offers?

Her parents swear she'll be okay, and like other well-meaning showbiz parents before them are putting themselves in the position to either protect their daughter or make total asses of themselves. Hey, it happens.

According to People, Selena's mother Mandy Teefey claims that she (along with Selena's dad) will keep her daughter out of trouble. For instance, she has a midnight curfew (or earlier) and never attends events without a parent. She is also held accountable with duties around the house. Says Teefey, "If she cooks, I clean. If I cook, she cleans. She has to help feed the dogs. There are really no set chores. We just all pitch in when needed."

We hear this talk from parents all the time. I hope they manage to avoid the trappings of the limelight and don't go the way of the Lohans. I really don't want to be searching for this post in 8 months as a reference to the calm before the storm.
