Tom Cruise Pressuring Katie For Another Baby?

Is Tom Cruise using the power of Scientology mind control to break Katie down and force her to have another baby?

Rumors are going around that Tom's controlling way of doing things is weighing on Katie, and no amount of cigarettes are going to alleviate the tension that's growing between Tom's way and Katie's sanity.

Apparently, Tom's dying to have another baby, and the couple agreed to have one as soon as Katie's run on Broadway was over. Now an unidentified blabbermouth is reporting that Tom may be enlisting the power of mind control to get his way.

"Tom’s control, through Scientology, has been almost unbearable for Katie,’ our source adds. ‘But the more she’s fought it, the tougher he gets. Never having any space to herself is stressful for her."

Now Magazine's source also hinted that Katie is reaching out to her family in Ohio in case she needs to bail out of her marriage. Of course, breakup rumors are always fertile ground for completely baseless speculation -- but I'm always down for pointing out just how weird I think Tom Cruise is. John Duignan, a longtime Scientologist with ties to Cruises entourage has some even more incendiary things to say about the situation:

"If she’s under pressure to provide another child, they’ll use very powerful mind-control techniques to help Tom get what he wants. Katie had been in New York, talking to real people and then she was back in the world of Scientology. She could crack up. There are lots of suicides among Scientologists – it’s psychologically very damaging. At least she’s been exposed to outside influences. But it’s difficult to escape, especially with a child."

Tom Cruise Named In Scientology Lawsuit

Tom Cruise has been named in a lawsuit against the Church of Scientology. Which is fascinating, really: who knew that you could get sued for participating in crazy?

The lawsuit has been filed by ex-Scientologist Peter Letterese, who claims that the church harassed him after he left. According to the NY Daily News, Letterese claims, among other things, that "a member of the church phoned his lawyer at home, and when the lawyer's wife answered, said he was her husband's homosexual lover."

What does Tom Cruise have to do with all this? Well, Letterese says that the Church of Scientology is a "crime syndicate" and wants it broken up under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization law in the same manner that Mafia families have been broken up, and Cruise is a top member of the Scientology 'family.' Letterese says that Scientology head David Miscavige is "aided and abetted by the actions of Tom Cruise, his right-hand man for foreign and domestic promotion, as well as for foreign and domestic lobbying. He has assisted the syndicate in acquiring funds and [made] his own donations of money believed to be in the multiple tens of millions of dollars."

Which is to say, he wants Cruise's money.

I'm no fan of Tom Cruise, and I'm even less of a fan of the Church of Scientology, but this whole thing strikes me as contrived and unnecessary. I mean, aren't there better things to sue Tom Cruise about? You know, perhaps for Creeping Everybody Out, or for Ruining Oprah And Couches For Everybody, Forever? Those kind of lawsuits, I could get behind.

Pictures from the set of Eli Stone where Katie has been filming, show the young actress covered her hands in every one. But WHY?

Yeesh! Why are they the color of grape juice? Perez Hilton is speculating Katie has undergone a Scientology cleanse of some sort, and taken a high dose of niacin. I'm not sure. What do you guys think - she is clothed head to toe!

Katie, don't call it a come back, I've been here for years, Holmes is coming back to T.V.

Katie is going to play a lawyer on the TV show Eli Stone, which means that she will be singing and dancing in her return to television. If you've never watched the show, it's cute, lighthearted and fun to watch.

She was a success as Joey Potter, so perhaps she will be a hit as a dancing, singing lawyer.

Tom Cruise Wants David Beckham To Join The Crazy!

Tom Cruise wants David Beckham to join the crazy side - the crazy side of Scientology. How does Tom plan to convert David?

Cruise is doing his best to persuade Beckham to join him in his Scientology following. Tom had previously tried but Victoria - David's wife - was having no part of it.

A source told showbizspy.com, "Tom hasn't quite given up on persuading David that Scientology is a life-changing and wonderful thing. But he tends to see David privately. He thinks David is more malleable than Victoria. She is less pliable, stronger and more opinionated."

Maybe when Victoria and Katie are having playdates with their kids, that's when Tom swoops down on David and does his best to change his mind about Scientology?

However, there's still some talk about Posh and Katie's relationship being strained because Posh and David won't convert. The source added, "Katie and Tom want to surrond themselves with fellow Scientologists these days, and they are distancing themselves from anyone who is not a believer.

"For Tom, a non-believer like Victoria is very dangerous. She is opinionated, strong-minded, privately very against Scientology and has voiced her doubts."

What? Am I in the Twilight Zone? Cher did the nasty with Tom Cruise?

Cher was recently on Good Morning America and she confirmed that she did indeed date Tom Cruise in the '80s. While she didn't exactly say that she had sex with the creepy Scientologist, I'll assume they did it.

She said that Tommy wasn't a Scientologist back then and that he was "just the most adorable man you can imagine." I'm speechless.

Another little tidbit of interest is that her ex - father to her daughter Chastity - Sonny Bono was a Scientologist. Um really? Maybe they weren't as weird back then.

Well, not Bart Simpson per se, but the actress who's best known as the "voice of Bart Simpson," gave the church of Scientology $10 million bucks last year. Nancy Cartwright wants to help spread the ~~crazy~~ word of Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard.

Apparently giving money helps them rid mankind of "psychology ills and other 'aberrant' behavior." Interestingly enough, Cartwright donated twice as much as Tom Cruise, who received an award for ~~being nuts~~ giving. Cruise donated twice - giving $2.5 million each time and he had to do installment plans. You think'd that be chump change for Tommie ~~girl~~ boy.

Katie Holmes: Pregnant?

Maybe. I mean, I'd prefer to think that she and Tom are not having sex, which would make pregnancy impossible (were it not for the creepy possibility of in-vitro Scientology cloning experiments, which, you know, do happen). Still, there's some fairly suspicious evidence emerging.

According to GabbyBabble:

Katie Holmes just might be pregnant again because she was spotted buying a "Big Sister" t-shirt for Suri at Petit Tresor. She reportedly spent over $2,000 on baby clothes there. A source reported:

"Katie ordered loads of cute girlie spring dresses for Suri. But she also bought a pink t-shirt which said 'Big Sister' and two matching romper suits, one which said 'Little Sister' and one which said 'Little Brother'."

Hmm. Suspicious, no?

More Bad News For Tom Cruise On The Cult Front

This is not exactly going to help Tom Cruise in his fight to convince the world that he is not insane and that Scientology is not a cult.

According to Associated Press (France), the niece of the current leader of the Church of Scientology has denounced Scientology for its practices and come out in defense of Andrew Morton's controversial biography of Tom Cruise, which paints a picture of the actor as, well, that guy in that video who laughs all crazy and says crazy shit.

The AFP report says that: In an open letter to a senior Scientology official that has been widely posted on the Internet, Jenna Miscavige Hill described how her own family was broken apart by the movement's policies.

Hill's father is Ron Miscavige, the older brother of David Miscavige, the current leader of the Church of Scientology.

"Hell, if Scientology can't keep his family together -- then why on earth should anyone believe the church helps brings families together!" she wrote.

Hill wrote the letter after Scientology attacked writer Andrew Morton's recently published book "Tom Cruise: an Unauthorised Biography". The Church's public affairs director, Karen Pouw, denounced the book as a "bigoted defamatory assault replete with lies".

The AP report says that in her reply to Pouw, Hill retorted: "I am absolutely shocked at how vehemently you insist upon not only denying the truths that have been stated about the church in that biography, but then take it a step further and tell outright lies."

In particular she challenges Scientology's denial that it puts pressure on members to break all contact with relatives who do not support the movement -- a practice known as disconnection.

Hill said it was this policy that broke up her own family.

Nice. I wonder if the Church of Scientology serves Kool Aid, too?

Is Katie Holmes incubating the spawn of an ex-lover? The National Enquirer seems to think so. I'm almost certain they would have to be talkiing about Chris Klein, who Katie was involved with before Tom Cruise kidnapped married her.

But what are the chances of Katie actually getting away from the watchful eye of the Scientology thugs to get pregnant? When did this happen - while she was running that marathon, or when she was out shopping with Posh, or maybe that time she told Tom she was going down to the 7-Eleven for a Big Gulp?

Stay tuned – I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Meaning, I'm going to go buy this issue of The Enquirer and read it cover to cover.

Adam Sandler Wants Us To Quit Picking on Tom Cruise

Goodness knows Tom Cruise gets made fun of in the public eye on a daily basis.

Pal Adam Sandler and others have had enough and want the press to stop poking fun at Cruise. Sandler told People Magazine: "To see anyone's private life invaded and mocked like this is sickening. It's especially gross when it happens to a guy like Cruise, who's a great dad, a great husband, and a great friend."

Dustin Hoffman had this to say: "Tom Cruise is an American and has the right to freedom of speech and freedom of religion."

Dan Snyder, who is working a deal in financing Cruise/Wagner Productions: "Tom is a winner. That's a fact," Snyder writes in an e-mail. "He is a terrific actor, a terrific father and a terrific person. I'm proud to be his friend."

Ben Stiller and more of the actor's friends go to bat for him in this week's issue of People. Says Stiller: "Imagine having a baby and people talking about it the way they did," says Stiller. "People lose sight of the fact that Tom Cruise is actually a person. I feel for him."

I have to admit there's a certain amount of nagging thoughts of Karma after you've made fun of a celebrity. I've been on a Britney strike for over a week. I refuse to write about her until she gets real help.

People say Cruise brings it on himself, what with his expression of his religion, but the fact is, this video was leaked. For whatever reason, the Church of Scientology felt the public wasn't ready for it, and judging by people's immature reactions, the Church in this case, was right. Whether I believe in any religion is irrelevant here. Dustin Hoffman has a point. If Cruise and Holmes were devout Christians, would we vilify them in the papers and magazines about that?

Something to think about. Either that, I'm having a soft moment this morning.

Somehow, I Don't Think That Defenders From Battlefield Earth Are What Tom Cruise Needs Right Now

Tom Cruise could really benefit with some support from the legions of the sane right now, if he's to save himself from becoming more of a public laughingstock than he already is. You know, find himself a person or two who clearly has their head screwed on properly - which is to say, not a raving Scientologist - to defend his mental well-being. That is, if his mental condition could be said to be well, which I highly doubt.

What he doesn't need, on the heels of his lunatic cult-freak Scientology-recruitment video being unleashed on the internets, is another batshit-crazy cult-freak coming to his defense. Or someone who made the most appallingly hilarious cult-freak Scientology-recruitment video of all time. Certainly not both, which is precisely what John Travolta, producer and star of the Scientology promo flick Battlefield Earth, is.

Travolta recently told People magazine that the intense media scrutiny of Tom's ~~lunacy~~ beliefs has gone too far. "[Tom] has – we all have – the right to practice how we feel," he said at Australia.com's G'Day L.A. gala celebrating Australia Week 2008. "It finally becomes unfair."

Right. Sure it's unfair to make of fun of grown-men doing the celebrity public relations equivalent of donning little tinfoil hats and waving light sabers in public, but it's more unfair to expect people to resist doing so. That would be cruel and unusual punishment, like asking a pregnant woman not to eat the plate of chocolate bonbons sitting right in front of her (*cough*).

Get these men publicists. Good, sane ones. Please. And leave me to my chocolate in peace.

Katie - whoops, Kate - Holmes has a warning for anybody out there who's thinking about dissing her family, yo: don' mess with her, y'all, or she will hurt you.

And by 'mess with' she means 'don't talk shit.' Referring to "stuff in the news" about daughter Suri and ~~His Imperial Lordship~~ husband Tom, she said “that’s just not OK. It’s something that I don’t stand for. I am a mother.”

"I will stand up for my family."

Jada Pinkett-Smith, friend and soon-to-be cult companion, says that we all should listen to her. “Behind all that grace is a tiger,” she said. “[Kate] is extremely protective.”

I would be trembling with fear right now, but I'm shaking too hard from the laughter.

And by crazy, I mean he's a Scientologist and apparently proud of it. Cruise was recently awarded the 'Freedom Medal of Valor' at an International Association of Scientologists event. You have to watch the video ... it's gives me chills, with Tom's creepy intense eyes and his "passion" for the subject. This clip comes shortly after shocking allegations were made by author Andrew Morton concerning Tom Cruise in his new book.

Actress Katie Holmes is the new Audrey Hepburn according to Diane Keaton. Those are some pretty big movie star shoes to fill!

Keaton, who appears along side Holmes in the 2008 movie Mad Money insists the 29 year old actress has the grace and charisma to become the world's next generation great humamitarian icon. She tells Parade.com, "It's just so beautiful to watch a girl become a young woman. I tell you, I think it's a miracle. I remember how I was at that age and how my obsession was to be Audrey Hepburn, my idol. Now Katie has the candle. She's more adventurous than I am. Being the wife of Tom Cruise, she's been thrown into a world you can't really be prepared for, yet Katie handles it with grace." I'd have to agree with Diane on that point.

"Like Audrey Hepburn, she's like celebrity royalty. She has a calm center in the storm of whatever is going on around her."

Nicole Kidman Reveals That Her Dad Helped Her Through Her Divorce From Tom Cruise

Actress Nicole Kidman has revealed that her dad, Anthony, was key in her being able to cope with her divorce from Tom Cruise.

Nicole said that her father's presence helped rejuvenate her during the troubled times.

"My father really stood by me at a tough time. He was strong and dignified, and I'm very grateful that I do have a good father, because having him there with me at that time put me in good stead for carrying on with my life and learning to trust again," News.com.au quoted Kidman as telling Britain's The Catholic Herald.

Kidman admits that her divorce from Cruise brought her closer to her father, who is a devout Catholic.

"When I was growing up, I was always much closer to my mother. Dad's a bit of a loner. He was always going off and reading books. But when I went through ... what I went through ... I found out who my father was,” she said.

"Because there comes a time when you're a daughter, that you suddenly need your father. And when you reach out for your father and he's there for you, well, that's a very special thing,” she added.

Nicole was indeed lucky to have a great dad to stand by her. She is now married to country singer, Keith Urban.

Katie Holmes Running Boston Marathon? And Getting Preferential Treatment?

Katie Holmes is reportedly getting set to run another marathon - The Boston Marathon, which takes place April 21st, 2008.

Holmes ran a marathon in New York a few weeks back and is once again wanting to put on her running shoes. Perhaps she'd better put the brakes on for just a moment though.

A source said that the reason Holmes is keen on running is because she wants to better her time [she finished in more than five hours] because it embarrassed her to have such a poor running time. However, if you read the official qualifying rules HERE, based on Katie's age and performance, she wouldn't qualify for the April 2008 marathon. Unless, Katie is really a woman in her 70's. Wow, she looks great for her age!

The source was quoted as saying, "Katie was really embarrassed that her time was so bad on the NY marathon. She wants to improve her time and show that she can do it faster."

Apparently hubby Tom Cruise was being extremely supportive of her running, especially as Scientologists believe that "sweating cleans out the toxins."

That's all well and good but if she "qualifies" to run, then it would appear that someone is pulling strings for her and giving her preferential treatment. Not fair!

Nothing Else has Worked: Let's All Just PRAY For Britney

Just in case you were doubting that the stars are not, in fact, just like us, I have this news for you: they now have their own prayer support network. The Hollywood Prayer Network is a group of Christians who devote their time and energy to praying for celebrity trainwrecks like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, and they're putting the call out to their fellow Christians across North America to join them in seeking the redemption and healing of troubled stars through the power of prayer.

From ABC News:

The group of more than 5,000 Christians prays for stars instead of thinking of them as lost causes, and co-hosted a prayer breakfast in Beverly Hills Friday to stir a larger movement to get Christians to help celebrities.

Its ultimate goal was to reach those who influence millions, hoping divine intervention will help troubled celebrities shape up, thereby helping to fix the world around them.

"I believe if you want to change the world, you need to change Hollywood," said Tim Winters of the Hills Church.

Save the celebuwrecks, save the world? It'd be funny if it weren't so bizarre and disturbing. I mean, if you're going to spend hours devoting your emotional and spiritual energy to 'saving' anybody, couldn't you find people or causes that are more deserving? What kind of twisted mind decides that it's more important to save Hollywood than, say, Darfur? 'Oh, hey, of course there are children starving to death, and suffering the evils of genocide and war, but what about Britney and Lindsay and - oh, heck - what if Miley goes off and gets pregnant for reals? What will the world do then??

I know - if you take your faith seriously, every soul deserves saving. Which is why I find it difficult to take certain faiths seriously anymore. (Which, in turn, is why I get nasty comments from the Nancy Grace lovers, too, I suppose, but that's another story.)
