Nicole Richie is discovering that pregnancy sometimes compels women to give up the things that they love, like vodka diets and DUIs and Vicodin. And, also, pussies. A pussy, everyone knows, isn't always a woman's best friend during pregnancy. Nicole has just figured this out, so she's giving up her pussy for the duration of her pregnancy.

At least, that's my guess. It's possible that she's giving up her pussy for now because pregnancy has just put her off her pussy and everything pussy-related, and not because of fears that her pussy might be toxic. I just hope that she doesn't expect her relationship with her pussy to be the same after she gives birth. If she thinks that she doesn't want anything to do with her pussy now, just wait until she's recovering from childbirth. The last thing one wants to do after giving birth is tend to one's pussy. Things are just never the same, really.

No word on how Joel is taking this. Not well, probably. I don't know anything about it, but I'm willing to bet that he liked that pussy.

Sharing - that's what friends do. Now Paris Hilton and four-months-pregnant Nicole Richie will be able to share more than tube tops, manicure tips and boyfriends. TMZ is reporting that Richie will be serving her 4-day jail sentence at Lynwood, the same facility where Hilton served her 23-day sentence. Hopefully Paris left behind a nail file for her friend.

Richie could have chosen a nicer lockup, but a private facility would have required her to serve out her entire sentence. Because of the overcrowding problem at Lynwood, Richie will end up doing a much shorter sentence.

And now, Paris can give Nicole the skinny (no pun intended) on how to score a cell with WiFi, smuggle Taco Bell in at mealtime and ways to bribe the guards into doing her daily catalog order from Kitson. That's what BFFs are for!

Well, Duh: Nicole Richie Confirms Her Pregnancy

Blowing the lid off of what is possibly the worst-kept secret in history, Nicole Richie is telling the world she's pregnant. In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer, Richie confirms that her and Joel Madden are expecting a child together. "Yes I am. We are. I'm almost four months." Hey, and did you hear Michael Jackson had a nose job?

In the interview, which will air on "Good Morning America" on Thursday and Friday, Richie also discusses her wrong-way driving arrest, her drug use and her upcoming jail time.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Sawyer even pretends to be surprised about the pregnancy, or if she just rolls her eyes and moves on to a more intriguing topic, like Joel's tattoos.

Today was a bad day for breaking news at FameCrawler. Most of the writers were at BlogHer and I spent the day at Comic-Con.

Actually, under the circumstances, she may have been lucky. At least she won't have to worry about having a baby behind bars.

Is Joel Madden Taking His Hat out of the Babydaddy Sweepstakes?

Star Magazine is reporting that Joel Madden, Nicole Richie's possible babbydaddy, is not happy. It would seem that Nicole being unsure as to the father of her unborn child, or at least the media reporting that she is unsure, has started to take it's toll on the Good Charlotte frontman.

I guess I should be flattered that Joel is obviously reading FameCrawler, but to rip Nicole a new one, which he reportedly did in Maryland, in front of people, that's not the way to deal with it. Is it? I can't say, never having knocked-up a promiscuous, possible addict, and pending convict, but hey, the day's still young, right?

The report says that Joel really laid into her, even using the F-word! He's so punk rock.

This rumor has been growing legs, and possibly wings, all over Gore's green internet. Apparently there is reasonable doubt, reasonable in a National Enquirer sort of way, that Joel Madden is NOT the father of Nicole Richie's baby bump.

It seems the pristine Miss Nicole had 4 different gentlemen callers, not at the same time, just prior to finding herself with child. One of the lucky contestants is obviously Madden, two of them have not been named, assuming she knows/remembers them, and the final slot in our foursome is one Mr. Jeff Goldblum, who has obviously proved that yes, Earth girls are easy.

Jeff Goldblum and Nicole Richie having sex? That would be like rubbing two sticks together. I would be afraid they'd catch the sheets on fire. I wouldn't even want to be a fly on the wall, because that would mean I might get thrown in the mix, and that shit ain't happenin'.

We shall see. These things have a way of working themselves out.

Here's twiggy little Nicole Richie and her formerly inexplicable pregnancy bump. She didn't even tell her dad, Lionel, before publishing her Very Special Pregnancy Confirmation in US Weekly. Some people call, others send emails. The famous have...different ways to make momentous announcements.

The first picture, with that little round belly, reminded me of happier days. Remember when the unknown Nicole was a funny, wise-cracking sidekick, with a handful of muffin top flowing over her jeans? When she flashed her round boobies and pierced nipple at the Joey T fashion show (tons of uncensored pix... here)? Or how bad her weave was before Rachel Zoe made her cut that shit off? And check out the difference in thigh circumference!

Ah yes, the Rachel Zoe era brought big changes, like haircuts and prominent clavicles:

We cheered when Nicole became the best dressed celebutard. She wasn't supposed to get more famous than Paris, at least according to Paris. But there she was, topping every list. It was like watching a Loser Table Girl take over the popular group, right down to her nuclear showdown with Queen Paris (allegedly for showing "A Night in Paris" at a party, how hilarious is that?!)

We even celebrated her friendship with occasional arch-rival and co-Zoe-victim Lindsay. Then they took it too far with the horse tranquilizers in the bathroom of Hyde. Thin became wicked skinny. Then wicked skinny became gaunt.

Thankfully she used her zombie hands to give Rachel Zoe a big, public middle finger. She did some rehab, made a little progress, had a little slip up, met Joel Madden and became his groupie and now his baby momma. She even has some boobies again!

She's still skinny, she's moving too fast with her boyfriend, and she's probably spectacularly ill-equipped (at least in terms of BMI) to be a mom at the tender age of 25. And we're still cheering her on. So many of us have high hopes for Nicole. It turns out, we like her.

Maybe, this baby is her road back to normalcy, assuming of course it's born with ventricles and lungs. Hey, at least we know she's off the pot and vicodin these days! Yes! Remember? That was self-medication for cramps, which won't be a problem for a few months. See, she's better already.

A Boy For Nicole?

Okay, so, we've only JUST had it confirmed that Nicole Richie's preggers, and we're already guessing the sex? Star Magazine is insisting that Nicole and babydaddy Joel Madden are having a boy, a secret that was apparently revealed when somebody spotted them spending "thousands" of dollars on unidentified "boy" things.

Fine. Maybe it is a boy. Whatever. At this point, I think what the world wants most to know is how, exactly, Nicole is going nurture new life in a body that looks like it blew in from across the Nevada desert. That, and whether we'll be able to see the bump through her prison scrubs.

Nicole Richie: Birth in the Big House?

I'm sleeping easier at night, now that Nicole Richie's pregnancy has been confirmed. The uncertainty was keeping me awake, along with worries about global warming and who's the cuter twin, Mary-Kate or Ashley.

But the question remains, will the World's Skinniest Pregnant Lady be going to jail because of her recent DUI charges? According to TMZ, pregnant inmates are given a high-calorie diet while locked up and then must give birth at a hospital contracted by their Los Angeles correctional facility.

Which means Richie may not only be forced to eat an entire sandwich at some point, but will be delivering her baby without the benefit of a mink-lined bed or diamond encrusted forceps.
