Nicole, Joel, And Harlow Rock Kidstock

Pretty much everything is cuter in miniature: ponies, White Castle burgers, even ~~midgets~~ little people -- so why wouldn't the same apply to outdoor concerts? Apparently, celebrity parents with a touch of hippie in their bloodlines have already figured this out.

Joel Madden and Nicole Richie made brought Harlow out to this year's 3rd annual Kidstock Music and Art Festival at the Greystone Mansion to revel in the music and art of a tiny generation. In order to blend in with the trippy psychedelic surroundings, they opted to dress Harlow up in flowery hippie-chic style.

Who enjoys Kidstock the most: kids or parents? Maybe it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to hold an outdoor music and art festival for toddlers -- since they would probably have more fun in almost any sandbox -- but it is super cute to think about announcements coming over the PA about bad brown gummy worms.

Plus, it provides us with awesome shots of stars hanging out with their little ones.

Shia LaBeouf's Childhood Plagued By Naked Mom

Shia LaBeouf may seems like a somewhat normal, well-adjusted human being, but just beneath the surface, he may have some deep-seated psychological issues stemming from his mom's addicition to nudity.

Apparently, Shia's parents were dyed in the wool hippies of the most embarrassing and emotionally scarring variety: nudists -- especially his mother.

“The nudity was weird, especially when her friends came over,” he tells Playboy in their June issue — on sale May 15. “All of them would just be naked around the house. That was strange for me, and it was really bizarre when my friends were there. You’ve got your little buds over, and Mom’s, like, playing naked connect the dots or whatever. She’s in the middle of goddess-group time, where it’s literally a bunch of naked women tracing auras around one another’s bodies with incense and then sitting together and humming for prolonged periods of time.”

Apparently, there was a lot of openness in Shia's household. His dad smoked pot in the house and he says that's given him a pretty liberal attitude about drug use. He also recently called his mom the "sexiest woman I know."

We've all been damaged by our hippie parents at some level -- either by inheriting their LSD-soaked DNA, or just the weird rituals they made us observe growing up. Still, it sounds like Shia's experience was on a whole different level.

Somewhere down the line, that guy's going to need hours of intense therapy to get over his mommy issues, but at least he can afford it.

Keri Russell's Little Mohawked Man

Keri Russell is a total cutie-pie, but I gotta say: in this photo? She looks a bit like a middle-aged hippy. Which, fine, nothing wrong with that (although, really, she should rethink the hat.)

In any case, it doesn't matter. who's looking at Keri when there's that adorable little Mohawked munchkin dangling in front of her. An adorable little Mohawked munchkin who looks like he HATES orange juice.

Just you wait 'til you meet VODKA, buddy. Reserve judgement until then.

Chris Robinson of the Black Crows, pushes around his son, Ryder (BOB Revolution Stroller, 2006,$359). Chris is channeling many a hippie with this look. I like it.

I'm guessing it must be nice for him to be doing the pushing in this picture, since it's usually the man pushing him around. Isn't it? Hippies said stuff like that, right?
