M.I.A.'s fiance and father to Ikhyd, Benjamin Bronfman, 26, is set to inherit the massive amount of money and it will be passed down to the couple's son at some point.
The fortune was accumulated by Benjamin's family, who are owners of a now defunct Seagram company - once the largest distiller of alcoholic beverages in the world.
A source said the Paper Planes singer doesn't "really care about the money. But it helps." Uh, yes, eight billion clams will probably come in handy!
Although M.I.A. and Benjamin are not married, that won't make a difference in their son inheriting the money and assets.
"They will do the marriage thing when time permits."
