Three years after the infamous Lance and Sheryl fairytale came to an end, Lance is finally ready to talk about the straw that broke the camel's back -- and inadvertently call Sheryl old.
“She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want
that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out
of a marriage, I’d just had kids [Luke, Grace and Bella],” the 37-year-old celebrity cyclist says. “Yet we’re up against her biological clock — that pressure is what cracked it.”
According to Lance's upcoming biography, aptly titled Lance, the world renown cyclist opened up to author John Wilcockson about the celebrity couple's relationship, saying that it got pretty tense toward the end. Apparently, the last two weeks before Sheryl's 44th birthday, the relationship started feeling like “kind of a struggle."
Unfortunately, the whole biological clock thing is pretty tough to navigate, especially for a couple with a significant age gap. He must be ready now though, because Lance (now 37) and his girlfriend Anna Hansen are expecting a baby in June.
