Somewhere between playing for two pro soccer clubs on two continents and keeping up with his three boys (Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, 6, and Cruz, 4) how does David Beckham managed to find time to develop and craft his design skillz?
Apparently, Adidas suggested that David team up with James Bond (not that James Bond), the guy who owns the Undefeated sneaker freak boutiques, to come up with a fall/winter lineup for Adidas.
The collection will be made up of American sportswear, with a healthy dose of leather, cashmere, and silk. The shoes -- what I'm most interested in -- will be throw backs to traditional Adidas styles.
Surprisingly, David will not be appearing in any of the advertising for the line -- or so they say. Does that mean he's actually designing some of it? I kind of imagined him just reviewing designs on his Blackberry and replying "looks good."
Does Adidas just wants his name to be connected with the line to help sales? Or do they really want his design input?
Maybe Becks will wear the line out in public or something. Weird.
