For those of you who were hoping to see Sabrina The Teenage Witch cast off her supernatural cloak and prance around naked, you were no doubt disappointed at this news. Apparently actress Melissa Joan Hart, during her heyday in the successful TV series, turned down a $1 million offer to pose nude in Playboy.
Hart, desperate to break out of the 'good girl' roles she had played in Sabrina and Nickelodeon's Clarissa Explains It All, almost accepted Hugh Hefner's tempting offer. "They came around and offered me a million dollars, which I had to seriously consider," she tells the NY Post. "Initially it's like, 'Yeah, I'll take my clothes off for a million bucks, are you kidding?' It's the big question: what will you do for a million dollars?"
After turning down Hefner's offer, she did agree to pose in her underwear for rival publication Maxim, a move she says she regrets after it resulted in one of her younger brothers being humiliated and having the cover "shoved in his face for months."
Looks like turning down Playboy was a wise decision; Hart is now a mother of two young children, and the embarrassment her brother felt probably would be ten-fold for her kids someday. Are you listening Pam Anderson?
