There have been reports that Farrah Fawcett, who has been battling cancer, is close to death. She was listed as unconscious and critical in a Los Angeles hospital, but the latest reports claim that she is doing better and will be released soon.
Let's hope for the latter.
Fawcett's homecoming will not be without additional drama. Her troubled son Redmond O'Neal (dad is Ryan O'Neal) was arrested yesterday for drug possession and trying to take narcotics into a jail- which I suppose is a good way to cut out the middle man, but you don't get to collect $200 (see Monopoly). However, it's probably not the kind of thing that a very sick parent needs to deal with.
Hopefully Farrah will regain her health and Redmond will get some help.
Yes, Redmond is a bit old to make the cut at FameCrawler, but he's an old school celebrity kid and unfortunately his actions have become something of a stereotype. Let's hope the current crop of famous children are able to take a different path.
