What on Earth? Looks like some officials in Florida are about to reopen the case on Anna Nicole Smith's death in 2007. Anna Nicole died in a Florida hotel room of a drug overdose. Some people have already been charged with conspiracy, including Anna Nicole's boyfriend and lawyer, Howard K. Stern.
Ron Ishoy, spokesman for the Fort Lauderdale State Attorney, said, "Our prosecutors have met with representatives of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office and the California Department of Justice and discussed the evidence they have turned up in their investigation. We are now investigating that evidence to see where it might lead in relation to Ms. Smith's death here in Broward County in 2007."
Naturally, all of the people charged with conspiracy to keep Anna Nicole buried in illegal substances deny their guilt. Surprise. They are, however, all free on bail.
Anna Nicole is, of course, the late mother of little 2-1/2-year-old Dannielynn Hope, whose father is Larry Birkhead.
