Jade Goody, heavily medicated in her final hours, was not aware of a lot that was going on. However, a bright spot in her day was when her two sons, Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, arrived to say their final goodbyes. With their sweet faces painted, they brought their mom flowers and held her hands.
Jade's family and close friends are heartbroken and are doing their best to stay strong for Jade and especially for the boys. Jade's mom, Jackiey Budden, when asked how her daughter is, said, "I can't say, I just cant' say how she is." She was visibly distraught.
The 27-year-old's sons brought her flowers and they sat on her bed and held her hands. Little Freddie had picked her a single daffodil. Jade was extremely exhausted but managed a weak smile and then fell asleep.
An insider said, "It was a real tear-jerking moment to see the three of them together at such a sad time."
Earlier in the day, the boys were playing in the garden with Jade's husband Jack and their grandmother, and with their faces painted, ran around, smiling.
Max Clifford, Jade's rep, said, "The boys went to see her and she was aware of them for a brief moment or two. She saw them and she smiled. She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way. Now we’re waiting for the inevitable. It could be at any time, we just don’t know."
Freddie asked his mom, "Why are you so sleepy?" Jade replied, "Because the angels are calling Mummy."
So truly heartbreaking.
Jade was given her last rites and most of her family have said their goodbyes.
