That stupid show Sober House was filmed last summer so whatever they’re talking about in those episodes is old news.  As of about a week ago Seth was very much alive.  People need to chill out.

Duh!!  C'mon, y'all.  YESTERDAY'S episode of Sober House had a scene saying that Seth went into cardiac arrest due to drugs.  That's probably what started these rumors.  That episode had to have been filmed a while ago.............if he died, I'm sure you would have heard about it BEFORE the episode aired.

like everyone said, the episodes are old, it would have been aired before now if he was. not everyone can help doing the things they do people are raised differently, and make wron choices. all these people talking shit are the pieces of shit not the people who care enough about themselves to admit they have a problem and try to fix it. even if it is 10 or more times, who gives a shit, at least they are trying to do something better for their lives, rather than sitting around talkin bout people they dont even know. i dont even know them and i am proud to see all of them moving in the right direction!

I like Seth, but I honestly feel he is a lost cause.  Every time we see him on VH1 he's getting high or looking to get high.  What he honestly needs is to be put in jail for about a year to completely get clean and well needed help.  Then he can be in the state of mind to work his way back on top.

I was heartbroken to hear that he has went into cardiac arrest.  I just hope he is okay and realizes if he continues that the only ones that suffer are he kids and wife.  I wish him the best and I truly hope he can get clean

i just hope and pray that this is a wake up call for seth.  i know a few people that died from an overdose. and one was so high that he shot himself in the head.  i truly hope that seth learns that this is not just affecting him, its really messing halo up.   this disease never affects just the person that is doing the drugs, it affects everyone in their life.  please seth,  learn.  but do it first for yourself and then for your child and everyone else. this includes your fans.  dont be like kurt cobain.

Nobody is truly a loser.  We are all here for a purpose.  We need to be kind to one another and remember that we are all brothers and sisters. Many times we pick up drugs at too young an age and become hooked. It is when we get older that we realize what a poor decision we made when young and it is the adult "us" that has to clean up the mess. Peace and love.

I understand completely what Seth is battling/ addiction is a terrible thing to battle regardless of your drug of choice. My neighbor died last night of a drug overdose and it really breaks my heart to think if we had just checked on him he might still be here and that he had to die so young, Autumn if u read this mom loves you and please leave the pills alone baby it can cost u everything and i love u to much to see that happen/goodluck all

I really hate to hear people talking as if his life does not matter because he battles with addiction, he has admitted he has a problem and he is trying to get help, it is not easy they sat only one in ten will make it thru so give him a break he is on the road to recovery and I wish him all the best.

I am not a recovering drug addict but I have watch many people in my family battle with it.  My aunt has been sober for years now but still craves a beer but she fights that urge.  We never though my cousin would make it but she did and is extremely happy.  I see alot of her in Seth.  So determined to become sober but truly couldn't do it until she let go of everything that hurt her in the past.  I think in due time Seth can do it but he needs support and love from the ones he loves the most and his fans are a plus.

for those who are saying shit about him... you have no idea what he is going through.  Until you have experienced it personally, don't judge.  That just makes yall ignorant and selfish.

I just wantws to let all of u kno that bein a drug addict is NOT easy. I have been addicted to oxy contin now for about 5yrs. I have tried COUNTLESS ways to get off the drug, but everything comes back to bite me in the a**, basically wut im sayn is that no one should ever judge a person based on the fact they are an addict, because all it takes is for YOU to have a rough time in ur life, and someone offers up the right drug, and ur using and addicted in no time. I commend all those on sober house for not only havin the courage to step up and want help, but to let the world watch as they slip in and out of addiction. I pray on day that I will once again be free!

OK I don't wish he was dead that is a bit much but still I have no respect for him. He obviously wants to come across as Mr.Cool and be on TV. If he was serious he would try being sober off screen. As someone who has been sober for 3 years I understand how tough it can be.  For me it took the emotional equivalent of chopping my arm off and cauterizing the stump.  It's really difficult to get rid of all your friends, but they're usually getting high or wasted and you just can't be around that.  Seriously, it involves a lot of lame nights at home and making new friends.  Eventually, you relearn sobriety and can start making steps into the world.  Nowadays, I can go to bars and parties and be just fine, but back then I was like a toddler learning how to walk again.

Hopefully, the reminder of mortality is the final slap to the head that Shifty needs to find the real guy under the crackhead Shifty.  Praying for ya, man.

I wish everyone who is doggin' on Seth would just stop, he really and truly is batling his own demons, and the real Seth has almost given up on trying to be clean.. Addiction is one of the hardest things to give up let alone anything else in this world that we all take for granted..(video games and sh*t like that) We need to remember that this guy needs HELP and not bullsh*t from losers like these people who are doggin' him so much. I know cause I have been there and was there for 7 years, and I am now 6 months clean and sober. Let me tell you it one of the hardest things I have ever faced in my life, let alone today I found 100 Vic's and didn't take nor touch one. Don't get me wronge tho I wanted to sssooooo badly, but I had the will power not to. So lets just remember that Seth needs a little break, and surport from everyone.. Shame on all of you who wished these people would die, They all have families and loved one's who care for them, I have faith that all of them will beat this addition and strive in life once again... I see the little boy in Shifty's eyes just begging for help, Maybe you should try to look a little deeper than the drugs and see the person.

As a recovering addict myself, I find it hard to watch Sober House each week, but I also don't want to miss it.  The saddness inside each of their eyes hits me deep.  I see the true souls trying to get a hold of their diseased minds, and that only takes true determination and time.  From addiction, your mind has to heal and relearn how to cope with life.  If you don't have all your cards in then unfortunatly it won't work.  But that doesn't mean stop trying, this is your life, your soul you are saving.  Keep trying everyday, be true to yourself.. not your mind... but your soul.. who you are trully.  This is the way through the darkness.  Seth is very troubled and tormented, he wants to be sober but not enough yet.  But if he believes and keeps trying, he will get there.  

He doesn't just have a disease, he is mentally ill. He needs to get psychiatric help. He thrives on attention and it doesn't matter who he hurts. Get help dude, and stop hurting the ones who love you.

To the people that say I hope Rodney King make it, this isn't a reality show where people get kicked off every week and the winner gets money.  This is about life and death. If anyone has ever known an alcoholic or addict, then you KNOW what it's like. It's hell trying to do the right thing, and some people just haven't hurt enough to want to stop than other.  Sooner or later everyone hurts enough to stop or they die. It's not a "choice" to get sober.  Someone can't just decide to put the drink or pipe or even needle down one day. It's a process and no one is perfect. It's progress not perfection. If they have a willingness to quit, that's all that matters.  They just need to get to the point where they realize that they are powerless and they're lives have become unmanageable, and some way some how, give it up to a God of their understanding. Thats it. Either understand the disease, or don't speak about it. This is life and death people....

You don't know what he's been through or is going through. Everyone's got stuff to deal with, everyone has bad habits. He's a human being, show some sympathy.

Shifty, if you ever read this you should feel grateful that there are so many people rooting for you, but let's take a moment and think of all of the other addicts who are going through this. People who are alone and have no money, people who are only living for their next high. hating themselves when they come down, when they realize  how they were unable to once again win over this disease. Let's not forget their familiy members who lay in bed at night praying for them, or even those who have noone at all who care for them. I strongly believe that no one wakes up and says, my dream is to be  a crack addict. The best we can do is not judge. When i go home everyday i see some addicts, but there were these two blondes that were always at the traffic signal asking for money, it hurt me, but I never gave them any, i new it was for drugs, you could see clearly they were addicts. well, the other day after seeing both sisters together for years, I only saw one sister there and it got to me. No one deserves to live like this, I wish that the government was more pro-active in helping, I am not sure what the government really provides so I can be speaking rubbish, but none the less it's sad to see a life wasted for a chemical high, watching your teeth and hair fall out and have no control of getting better. Those of you who are recovering, God Bless you all, I hope each day you find more strength and become a beacon of hope for those who have none.

Yes it is a choice to be sober; give me a break.  Stop all the victim crap.  Addicts have to want to change for themselves; they wont change or stop for anyone else.  Thats why people that enable others slowly love them to death;.  Take away their family, money, place to stay, and attention, then they have nothing but themselves to rely on and they will hopefully get help.  Seth has his family blindly backing him, revenue from the tv show and his music, so why does he need to change?  he doesnt'.  All of these people are pretty likable and I wish them the best; but being sober is a choice; if you choose not to stay sober and do the work needed to do it and avoid the pitfalls of clubs and partying, you end up broke and dead.

I love how everyone on here acts like a teenager or younger especially with their god awful spelling.  Shifty is a B list celebrity at best.  I feel sorry for him and the choices he has made up to this point in his life.  He has a disease that he obviously needs help for.  However it is his choice when he gets this help.  Until then, I am not going to keep track of any B list celebrity, or any celebrity for that mater.  I am too inter-twined into my own life to try to emulate the hollywood elite.  As I was telling a friend earlier, it is an unhealthy image anyhow.  It is disgusting how the media portrays the hollywood set these days.  The media is responsible for the disgusting looks going around hollywood and the celebrity scene.  They push the BS image portral on the hordes of followers that will endlessly follow their favorite celebrity to the grave.  The internet and the 90's/2000's media is great, but my god it has its breaking point, and we have reached critical mass.  Wheather it be Shifty Binzer using drugs and almost dying (which is god awful but noneyas (figure out what that is for yourself)) or Jessica Simpson gaining some weight (WHICH IS HEALTHY BY THE WAY!) we are being shoved with some new story every 5 minutes from E!, TMZ, or some other media outlet.  And if they don't have a new story to break into some show with they will endlessly run the same crap over and over and over again until something new comes along.  The most recent example of this is the over analazation of Alex Rodriguez's steriod use in baseball.  While it is a story worth noting, it is NOT a story worth endless hours of analzation and debate!  None of these people are worth 5 minutes of television time for a story.  There are FAR more important things going on in the world such as the American economy, or world politics, or world starvation and homelessness.  What about taking $1 and buying a newspaper and reading that instead of turning on your television, and skip the entertainment section of the newspaper.  How about turning your television to CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, or (I shudder to think of this but...) Fox News?  That would be some real life serious down to earth no bs this is important world wide news at the very least.  Not this crap about a B list celebrity overdosing that has no affect on the course of your life.  Tell me, how did your life change when the lead singer of Nirvana killed himself? What about Elvis, did it change then?  How about Bernie Mac?  How about ANY celebrity death?  Tell me how your life was changed in such a way that it altered its course of history forever.  This means your life changed from whereever you were in life to a dramatic change immediately after the death/passing of said celebrity.  I can tell you this:  Your life went on just as it would have had said celebrity not died.

What have I done to make the world a better place?  Well thank you for asking =).  I have served my country for 6 years and got injured overseas serving my country.  I laid my life on the line for my country and its values.  That is how I worked to make the world a better place.  As for a misspelling I know where you're talking about.  1 or 2 misspellings is typically ok for a paragraph such as the length of what I wrote.  I'd even give you 1 in a sentence such as yours.  However these folks need to open a dictonary and look at spelling.  It is annoying to read something like this "hay get your self well" or this "drug addic you have no right saying a bad thing about them becouse you are just as bad as them but in a diffint", the list of course goes on.  If you are intellegent enough to form a thought and even more intellegent to write it down, spell it right.  Or at least give it the ole college try where you might spell one or two words wrong with no punctuation errors.  Please?!  As for me contributing to the world:  I have.  I almost gave my life for my country and am proud of it.  Now I shall sit back and shudder at the thought of where this world has gone in a mear 10 years.  Just in 10 years the Hollywood set has changed so dramatically and the look has changed dramatically too.  The press coverage has got worse in those 10 years.  Ten years ago the internet was finding itself still and sort of still in its infancy maybe coming into its elementry school age.  There was no TMZ, YouTube, or any other website that showed every second of a celebrity's life.  There were no bloggers or it wasn't very popular and very few people knew what a blogger was.  Our problems in 1997 and 1998 was what does a BJ count as?  Is it sexual relations or not?  Now?  What is being shown on the internet is #1 disgusting and #2 disturbing at best.  TMZ is at best disturbing.  I can not believe someone actually wants to go to that site.  They exploit celebrities for their profit.  They practically stalk celebrities.  Paparazzi are glorified, paid stalkers and the public pays them to do it.  The week of the Twin Tower bombings and there wasn't any sports or any celebrity news, or anything except serious down to earth no BS news on TV, did you miss one thing that happened with a celebrity?  Did you say gosh I wish I knew what Britney Spears was doing right now?  Did you say I wonder what Paris Hilton is going to say next?  Did you say I can't wait to check out that youtube video?  No.  You went on with life, noticed a very serious situation and rallied around as Americans.  No one missed one iota of celebrity or sports news.  We looked at our lives, what was important in them and took a measurement of what we should do as Americans.  Once that god awful celebrity news and everything else started about a week later after the Tower bombings, America went back to its selfish self and forgot about everything again.  Without this god awful media we can be a great nation that looks to one another and notices our neighbors.  With it, we are shut ins that rely on YouTube and TMZ.  It is absurd.  I am 30 years old and am from this generation of the internet and I find it absurd.  Too bad no one else sees it.

Welcome to Reality TV, folks. Sad thing is, by being on this VH-1 show, it is actually fueling the celebrity status which is not going to help them battle these addictions. I don't think any of them really thought this through before signing that contract to be on this show.

Addiction is a very complicated, and life destroying disease. It attaches itself to all aspects of your life and slowly destroys you to the core. I hope they all get the help and conquer these addictions, but in reality, having their lives televised in that setting has proven to be more detrimental than the addiction itself.

Shifty isnt dead people. I watch celeb rehab sober house every thursday and he just recently went back to the house after he traumatic episode of depression. He did have a heart attack but hes fine and back at the house. U people really gotta watch sober house a lot more so u know. Shifty has a very bad sickness and I feel really bad for him.
