Maggie Gyllenhaal is a very down-to-earth mom. She was able to reconnect with one of her childhood loves.
She presented a check from Fisher-Price to the Wildlife Conservation Society for $250,000.
The Wildlife Conservation Society saves all things wild: animals and wild places.
Fisher Price just went up a notch in my estimation.
Maggie said, “Fisher-Price is such a big part of everyone’s childhood and I am so happy to join forces with them in presenting this generous donation in support of the Wildlife Conservation Society. I remember having one of those Fisher-Price tape players, listening to Cyndi Lauper, walking around my neighborhood. I think especially in New York City, in Brooklyn where I live, it’s important to encourage children to learn about and be a part of nature. It’s difficult to find that in the city. I know from my own childhood that my connection with nature has changed the way I look at the world. I think it’s important to show them how we can and how we must co-exist. They are learning to respect the planet.”
This whole talk about Maggie and nature makes me think of "The Secretary".
