Heath Ledger is amongst other dead celebrities who have earned lots more after their death than before. Joining Elvis Presley and John Lennon, Heath Ledger is on the Top Posthumous Earners List.
Heath, star of movies such as "Brokeback Mountain," "A Knight's Tale," and "The Dark Knight," earned over $30 million last year. Leading experts say he'll probably get more than $5 million this year if he gets next month's Best Supporting Actor Oscar. All of the money, of course, goes to his daughter with Michelle Williams, Matilda, 3.

Elvis still tops the high earners' list, even 31 years past his death. Second is famous Peanuts creator Charles Schulz. Heath is third, followed by Albert Einstein and TV prodcer Aaron Spelling in fourth and fifth place. Others on the top 10 list include Dr. Seuss, John Lennon, Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, and Steve McQueen.
