Talk show host Kelly Ripa and actor Mark Consuelos seemed to have it all - successful careers, beautiful home, three adorable children - but apparently the couple are having marital problems. Why? Because Kelly is unhappy about Mark's new found celebrity on the Oprah Show and he wants to pack up and head to Chicago to live.
Mark is set to hit the big time now that he has employment with The Oprah Winfrey Show and said the job could land him in Chicago full time. However, Kelly is not wanting to move and the couple have been arguing about their future together.
According to reports, the fighting has gotten so bad, Mark packed his bags and left Kelly in tears.
An insider said, "Mark wants the big time and he knows Oprah is his ticket. He told Kelly for the night opportunity, he'd move to Chicago if he had to.
"But because the couple has three kids - and Kelly is deeply committed to her role on Live with Regis and Kelly - there's no way she could leave New York and she doesn't want to live without Mark."
The source added, "If Mark moves out to strike it on his own, Kelly's whole world will collapse.
"Kelly doesn't want Mark to succeed without her. She becomes upset every week when he has to travel from New York to Chicago and spend the night away from the family to appear on Oprah's show.
"He walked out leaving Kelly in tears. They continued to fight over their cell phones until the boarded his plane."
Come on, they're rich - big deal if he has to fly back and forth! Plus, they seem pretty solid and I doubt they want to split up their family.
Kelly and Mark are parents to three children - Michael, 11, Lola, 7, and Joaquin 5.
