Law & Order: Mariska Hargitay Pregnant?
Law & Order: SVU star, Mariska Hargitay said she’d consider leaving the show that she’s been a part of for 10 seasons – for one very important reason: Maternity leave!
Mariska spoke with Ladies Home Journal, and said she misses her son, August, 2, when she’s working. “I just want to see my kid.”
She also said that she and husband Peter Hermann are “trying” to have another baby.
The Emmy-winning actress said she considers herself a late bloomer.
“I’m so grateful I was given these opportunities at a point in my life when I could really handle it all,” – referring to the show, Joyful Heart (her charity org for rape victims) and her family. “I got my gig late, got married late, had my kid late – and one of it came a minute too soon.”
Hargitay,44, lost her famous mother, Jayne Mansfield, in a car crash, when she was just three – and that left her feeling vulnerable.
“I just didn’t think I was very good,” referring to starting things later in life.
“All my life I’d had this problem with following through, not feeling that I was worth it. Not having a mother makes you think, ‘If only I’d been better, she wouldn’t have left me.’” Aww, that’s sad!
Mariska calls having her own child, “the oxygen in my water.”
I love her – I hope she and hubby get pregnant soon! Although that would mean she’d be off the show for awhile – damn, I love her on Law & Order, but that’s selfish – this is about her and not me. Right? Ya.
