Just when you thought that the tragi-comedy that is Sarah Palin running for vice-president, this happens: an epically awesome prank gets pulled that reveals her - shockers! as the ambitious dimwit that she is. After this, the McCain appearance on SNL just seems boooring.
A Canadian comedy duo known as The Masked Avenger got a
hold of the Governor and tricked her - OH YES THEY DID - into believing that she was
actually speaking with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. A highlight is when the fake Sarkozy - who the real Palin slobbers over in an hysterically funny and deeply disturbing aural display of fangirl gush - tells Palin "you know, I see you as a President someday," and Palin replies "Oh, I don't know, maybe in 8 years." Oh, good, she's going to give it 8 years. Give herself time to get some experience. (Also, McCain? Watch your back. If you haven't kicked it in 7, keep an eye on lady. She wants you outta the way.)
Check it:
And! The word from the Palin campaign: "Governor Palin received a phone call
on Saturday from a French Canadian talk show host claiming to be French
President Nicholas Sarkozy. Governor Palin was mildly amused to learn
that she had joined the ranks of heads of state, including President
Sarkozy, and other celebrities in being targeted by these pranksters.
C'est la vie."
Oh, ha ha. Face it Palin, you got PWNED.
