Conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck of "The View" came down to my neck of the woods this weekend and campaigned with Sarah Palin. The mother of two - Grace Elisabeth, 3, and Taylor Thomas, 2 - opened up for Palin in several cities in Florida. For once, she talks without getting interrupted. You can see the video here where she talks about equal pay for women, energy policy, and Sarah Palin's $150,000 wardrobe. She calls everyone fixating on the wardrobe "sexist."
That's crap. I'd be angry if ANY of the candidates used campaign money to buy $150,000 in clothing. It has nothing to do with gender. It has to do with hockey mom Sarah Palin trying to relate to Joe the Plumber, but spending $150,000 on clothes. That's more money than I'll spend my entire LIFE on clothing. Doesn't matter that she's donating those clothes to charity. It's the fact that she bought all those clothes from Neiman Marcus instead of Sears or Macys.
