Queen Latifah, 38, and her (possible) partner Jeanette Jenkins have talked of adoption in the past, saying, "I've always wanted to have [babies] and adopt. When I was little, I remember seeing TV shows and a child would be adopted and be happy. I just always felt like there are so many kids out there who need a parent." However, she's not opposed to being pregnant either, and maybe hints that she could be?
Latifah (aka Dana Owens) said of having a child, "I would probably be six months pregnant before anyone knows about it, and I won't talk about the baby until after it's born." (Oh, could this mean she's pregnant now?)
Owens is currently starring in the film The Secret Life of Bees, and says she took the role because the character of "August Boatwright," was so maternal. "August was just so nuturing and maternal and comfortable in her own skin. I felt she would be fun to play, and initially I wasn't sure - hey, who knows? - I might be pregnant by the time we shoot, and this is the kind of film you could do when you're pregnant at the same time because you don't have to worry about things.
"August communicated love for the most part, and that is OK if you've got a little one in there and all the love is flowing through your mind. It could be kind of cool."
The actress says she doesn't feel the need to talk about her personal life publicly. "I don't feel the need to discuss my personal life with the media or the fans. You lose your anonymity as part of success. But there are parts of my life that I just want to keep for me and my family and friends and the person I'm with."
Oh I hope she is pregnant - she'd make a great mom, I can just tell!
