David Duchovny, star of "The X Files" and hit Showtime show "Californication," checked into rehab early last month. The new season of Californication starts this month, September 28, and Madeleine Martin - the actress who plays Duchovny's daughter on the show - is confident that David will get better.
Martin said, "I know all families have problems - it's how you deal with those problems that matters. David has a strong family. I'm sure he'll overcome it." It helps that he plays a sex-starved writer on the show, I'm sure.
Speaking of overcoming it, Duchovny's real-life wife, Tea Leoni, is trying to deal with her severe depression about the whole sex addiction thing by going to counseling. I don't blame her. What else are you supposed to do when you learn that your husband has been cheating on you for years? Leave his ass?
The couple have two kids: Madelaine, 11, and Kyd, 6.
