Big Brother U.K. star Jade Goody was going in for a hysterectomy yesterday to help prevent the spread of her cancer. She found out about the cervical cancer after only a few days being in the Indian version of Big Brother recently.
Jade checked into a cancer center the other day with her mother, and a close friend revealed that Jade was really worried. Understandably so. "Jade is terrified - she's not in a good state at all. She's been putting on a brave face for her sons."
UPDATE: Jade underwent an eight-hour hysterectomy, and now faces 9 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Her spokesman, Max Clifford, confirmed late Friday night: "The operation went well."
Tests this week fortunately showed that Jade's cancer had NOT spread. Fantastic news. She's now in intensive care at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital.
