Jerry O'Connell Calls Pregnant Wife Huge, She Kills Him With Death Glare

Posted by Sassy Smith

Actor Jerry O'Connell and his model wife Rebecca Romijn are expecting twins and everyone knows, when you're pregnant, especially with twins, you will look a little bigger than usual.  However, it should be known that you don't call a pregnant woman huge.  Especially the baby daddy saying that about his baby mama! That's taboo!  (Does he ever want sex again?).  As a man, unless you have a death wish, you never discuss a pregnant woman's weight, how her ankles are no longer visible and you mind your business when it comes to her eating habits.

O'Connell was the Conan O'Brien show last week and he was talking about becoming a dad, how exciting it is, blah blah blah, and then he called his lovely, pregnant wife HUGE.  Listen pal, she's carrying your BABIES, as in TWO and it's against all that is holy and right, to call a pregnant lady HUGE.  You just.don't.do.it.

Jerry has apologised, releasing a statement, "I regret calling my wife 'huge' on Conan O'Brien.  I meant to say that there are specific areas of my wife that are larger than normal and growing every day.  All other portions of my wife are quite petite.  I apologise to her and will be coming home with flowers."

Flowers?  Is he kidding?  FLOWERS?  No buddy, you'd better show up with DIAMONDS.

Thank. You. Could I also get you to write a similar post directed at my parents-in-law, who have commented on my appetite several times and then told me my child would be fat? (I am 15 weeks and have gained five pounds, which puts me at a big whopping 115.)

Apparently I'm the only crazy twin mom out there... I was thrilled when my perinatologist said I was as big as a house!  Not kidding (he said it and I really, truly was thrilled).

Here's the thing - a high risk pregnancy (which can happen quite easily w/twins or more) means that you could deliver at any time (28 weeks, earlier/later regardless - yikes!) and when you do, you want the babies to have the best odds of surviving and the bigger they are, the better their odds are.  Bottom line.

I gave up the vanity thing after being on strict "stay lying down" bedrest for more than 3 months... so call me fat, well, maybe doing so on Conan was a little much but still, that's a great compliment that you have good odds of delivering healthy babies with no NICU stay!

ps - Mary, your in-laws are insane. Show them pictures of preemies and then tell them to bug off.  ;-)  Happy and healthy 25 more weeks to you!
