Director Paul W.S. Anderson, 43-year-old director of rocking movies like "Mortal Kombat" and "Resident Evil," says he checked his "need for speed" when girlfriend Milla Jovovich gave birth to daughter Ever Gabo. Ever is 9 months old now and family man Anderson gave up his beloved Jaguar for a Cadillac Escalade.
"As a huge family vehicle, I'd give it a 10. It seats so many people - we have one baby, three dogs, my family regularly come over and visits from England. It's a fantastic vehicle for shuffling a large amount of people around in immense comfort."
Geez, you'd think this came from a car magazine or something. Oh, it did. It's from Motor Trend. Despite it being a freaking Cadillac Escalade, Anderson insists they're doing it for the environment.
"We are a one car family right now -- director, movie star, one car between us," Paul says, "We're trying to reduce our carbon footprint." Dude, if you really want to stop global warming, get yourself a Hummer. That's what all the big names are doing. It gets, like, half a mile per gallon or something awesome like that.
Anderson's latest movie is "Death Race," a remake of the classic "Death Race 2000," which starred David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone.
