Fiona Phillips is the main presenter of GMTV's early morning program. She has decided, like Katie Couric, to quit her day job.
She has had to get up early for 12 years to do her broadcasting bit, and she's throwing in the towel. She cites her kids, who are 9 and 6, as well as her father, who is ailing, as 2 of the reasons that she has made this decision.
It is said that she's not leaving TV all together, so you'll still be able to catch her wherever she goes.
Fiona will be leaving in the middle of her contract, but surely just getting to sleep past 6:30am will be worth it. I wonder if, like Katie Couric, she had to get up at 3:30 or 4am? YUCK!!
I say 6:30 because that's what time I have to get up to get the oldest to school, and he's only in kindergarten, and I wish I could sleep past 6:30am.
