Madonna's Sticky and Sweet concert tour is officially underway. Yep, she's 50 and she can still work it like a virgin. OK, would you believe material girl?
Being on a major world tour is a lot of work, and a lot of time away from home, so Lourdes is often with her on the road. I wonder what it's like to have Madonna for a mom? I mean, do you freak out every time she sneezes, just like the rest of the world does? Do you still roll your eyes at her and pretend she's not cool, just like the rest of the world does? Is Lola texting her friends with "OMG. U wld not blv teh crap shez wearing 2da"? Hey, you don't wonder about this stuff? I do.
For Lourdes, being around musical gods is no biggie. In fact, she was around for the second date on her mom's European tour recently when Elton John and Bono were watching the show. I know! I was surprised to hear that, too. What happened to the bitchslapping session between Madonna and Elton John when he accused her of lip-syncing a few years back?You can't depend on blood feuds lasting long enough these days, I swear.
Madonna is definitely Mommy, though. Backstage at her shows, there's a kids' playroom right next to her dressing room. As for her little pre-show rituals, Madonna likes to get a massage and facial before she hits hair and makeup. Then she likes to do some exercise and get centered with her eery third Kaballah eye, located oddly enough just below her left nipple. She calls it Madge.
