John Edwards has come forward, admitted and released a statement (although he still denies being the father of her baby girl), that he and Rielle Hunter, his former "campaign photographer," were having an affair while his wife Elizabeth was battling cancer. However, as horrible as that sounds, there's more. Hunter has reportedly come forward to give more details in the sorrid affair....
According to the National Enquirer, the day before Edwards gave his statement on ABC's Nightline, Hunter and daugther Frances, 6-months, were flown from the US (on a chartered Learjet, which was only $50,000 - paid by Edwards' friends) to St. Croix.
The Enquirer had "spies" track down Hunter and found her and baby at a luxury oceanfront home owned by trial lawyer Lee Rohn, who is a close friend to Edwards. A National Enquirer reporter approached Rohn, who gave a tense "No comment!" when asked about Rielle. Shortly after, Rielle was moved to a motel for a few days and then returned to Santa Barbara on August 17. And Rielle now has an off-duty police officer guarding her home.
And how does all of this get paid for? John Edwards' "network of loyal supporters." Also, according to sources, there are a team of six lawyers who've been involved in the coverup and are helping funnel payments to Hunter, who has no source of income at this time.
Rielle Hunter's lawyer had suggested that she ask Edwards to take a paternity test but she's so far refused - believing that he'll marry her after the death of his wife Elizabeth, who is battling cancer. OMG - they're waiting for Elizabeth to die??? John is, allegedly, still in contact with Rielle. Shameful!
A pal of Rielle's told The Enquirer that when Edwards met Rielle, "She wanted to pick him up. According to her, the chemistry was instant.
"They ended up sleeping together that night!"
After Rielle was hired to shoot behind-the scenes- video for the Presidential campaign, "A friend kidded her she was actually shooting 'between-the-sheets' videos!"
Ugh - this whole thing is so skeezy - any man who would have an affair with another woman when his wife is battling cancer, is a lowlife - presidential candiate (former) or not.
Elizabeth Edwards - you could (and deserve) do so much better!
