It seems to me, that it's a long step down from presidential candidate to baby daddy, but I guess we'll never know.
We now know that John Edwards admitted to having an affair with Rielle Hunter in 2006 but he denies that he is the father of her 5 month old baby. He said on "Nightline" that he would be willing to take a paternity test to prove that he is not the father of her baby. What did Rielle say to that?
No way jose! Not those words exactly, but you get the point. She didn't actually say anything, her lawyer issued a statement for her saying, "Rielle is therefore making no statement now or in the future, furthermore, Rielle will not participate in DNA
testing or any other invasion of her or her daughter's privacy now or
in the future." So it's a statement of a non statement.
What, no test? Why not? Why doesn't she want him to take a test? Could it mean that she knows the it's not his baby, like he says?
Even his wife believes him and she knows that he's a cheater, she said, ""This was our private matter, and I frankly wanted it to be private
because as painful as it was I did not want to have to play it out on a
public stage as well, because of a recent string of hurtful
and absurd lies in a tabloid publication, because of a picture falsely
suggesting that John was spending time with a child it wrongly alleged
he had fathered outside our marriage, our private matter could no
longer be wholly private."
I guess there will only be one person who knows for sure.
