Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are spreading the love and the money.

Angelina visited Iraq in February, while pregnant with her twins, and after seeing the effects of war in the ravaged country says that she feels that we "have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families."

The couple's foundation has donated $1 million to the children in Iraq and America that have been affected by war. The foundation is going to use $500,000 for school supplies and educational programs for refugee children in Iraq and $500,000 for American children who may have lost a parent in Iraq or have a parent deployed in Iraq. The donations for American children will go to a tutoring initiative at the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program.

In 2006, the foundation donated about $2.4 million, including $1 million gifts to Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and the Global AIDS Alliance. They have also doanted to the Daniel Pearl Foundation, $100,000 and $100,000 to the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Reasearch Foundation.

The foundation's other donations include: $137,935 to the Namibia Red Cross Action Program. Is that what she had in her purse as loose change as she went in the hospital there to have Shiloh?

With the anticipation building for Angelina to have her twins and the privacy the French laws afford them in their chateau, I can only imagine how much they'll get for the pictures of those babies. If they stay true to who they say they are then the charities they frequent must be pouring over catalogs in anticipation of the suppllies they'll be able to get for those who need them.
