When I think of Kate Beckinsale, which, uh, isn't often - I certainly don't think of her as someone with a big booty. She's an attractive actress, outspoken and bold and mother to daughter Lily - a lot of things, but not a lady with mega junk in her trunk if you know what I'm sayin'. However, she would probably disagree with me - for her recent film, she's asked that a body double be used for the nude scenes because she thinks she's fat and has a big bottom. Please! That's ridiculous....

Beckinsale has a nude shower scene in her latest movie Whiteout but producers have had to hire a $2,000-a-day stand-in for the 34-year-old actress.
A source on set said, "Kate has a terrible self-image. She thinks she is fat and she is always complaining how certain outfits make her bottom look big. Of course, the reality is that she has the most amazing body.
"The script called for her character to be filmed nude in a shower, focusing in on her bottom and thighs. Kate insisted on a double being hired. She was quite open on the set about not liking her body and said she particularly loathed her bottom and was not comfortable baring it."
Silver Pictures put out an ad for a 5ft 8in brunette, weighing around 126 lbs (holy fat, batman - insert eyeroll here).
"It's a shower scene so there is no intimacy."
The source continued, "Kate just didn’t want to show her bottom, even though everyone on the set was saying how good it looks in jeans. She said she couldn’t face the thought of seeing her butt up on a big screen. She will have the final veto over who stands in for her."
Kate may get her low-self body image from her father - he died at the young age of 32, and suffered anorexia as a teen. She has, in the past, talked about her body issues and the unrealistic pressure on women in the industry.
She said to Glamour mag, "I don’t think you can aspire to the Hollywood 'look' and nor can I."Everybody is retouched, stretched, lengthened, slimmed and trimmed. I could look at a picture of myself from the past and think, 'Why don’t I look like that now?' It’s because I never have. If I could swap places for a day it would be with someone with gigantic, real breasts. I am fascinated by breasts because my mother didn’t have them either."
Hopefully Kate can learn to project a positive self image, especially when it comes to her 9-year-old daughter Lily, who, I'm sure looks up to her mom! And Kate, seriously, your ass ain't big!
