Just when you thought it was a "for sure" thing, it turns out that it's absolutely not - I was sure the rumors were true!  Kate Hudson is engaged, just not to Owen Wilson.  Confused yet?  Let me explain....

....Actress and single mom, Kate Hudson was flashing some pretty impressive bling - causing the internets and all of Hollywood to start up the marriage buzz.

Kate's rep told OK! that the ring that the pretty blonde was sporting, isn't from Owen Wilson - yes it is an engagement ring, but Hudson is currently filming Bride Wars, hence, she's fake engaged to one of her co-stars.

Her spokesperson said, "She's filming a movie called Bride Wars!  She is not engaged."

There you have it, I guess Owen's not quite ready to be a husband to Kate or stepdaddy to Ryder.
