After exactly 100 days, the writer's strike is officially over. Writers Guild of America members voted on Tuesday, and as of 7pm Tuesday evening they had voted overwhelmingly in favor of ending their walkout.
A total of 3,775 Guild members voted in both Los Angeles and New York. Guild leaders immediately sent an e-mail letter to over 10,500 writers who walked off the job on Nov. 5, instructing them to return to work on Wednesday morning.
So now those Desperate Housewives can get back to work. At least until June, when Screen Actors Guild contracts expire and the industry may be faced with yet another walkout. Better get your NetFlix up to date.
